Abstract

A support 13 for bus-bar ends 10, 11 on an insulator 12 comprises a rigid tubular sleeve having rings or studs of insulating material 14 that allow the end of the bus-bar to be slidably inserted in order to take the bending moment of the bus-bar without damage to the sleeve or bus-bar. The ends of the bus-bars can be connected by flexible strips 16 which can accommodate axial movement of the bars due to temperature changes. Two separate aligned sleeves mounted on a common insulator may support the adjacent ends of the two bus-bars. Specification 1,238,294 is referred to.
