Abstract
Un dispositivo de visualización de panel de gas que incluye una envolvente que confine un gas la cual encierra áreas separadas de visualización y áreas de encendido auxiliar, incluyendo dicha área de visualización múltiples células de visualización susceptibles de ser encendidas selectivamente y excitables en forma continua , en conjunto, acopladas eléctricamente en paralelo a conductoras de selección de coordenadas asociados , y teniendo dicha área auxiliar al menos un conductor de electrodo auxiliar separado acoplado eléctricamente a la misma, caracterizado porque tiene primeros medios que suministran excitación de impulsos de control de encendido parcial según un principio de excitación transitoria coordinadamente a dicho conductor auxiliar y a conductores de selección de coordenadas seleccionadas para realizar el encendido en células de visualización seleccionadas, teniendo los impulsos aplicados a los conductores de selección de coordenadas una polaridad predeterminada incapaz de producir descargas de iluminación sostenida en células de visualización anteriormente encendidas pero actualmente no seleccionadas y segundos medios que suministran a todos los conductores de selección de coordenadas excitación sostenida no selectiva según un principio de excitación repetitiva regular, suficiente para mantener una iluminación virtualmente continua en todos los puntos de visualización anteriormente encendidos independientemente del estado de excitación de dicha área auxiliar.
