Abstract

and F1N A motor-driven compressor includes two silencing chambers on the pressure side of the compressor which are formed by sheet metal parts positioned one upon the other and are mounted on the cylinder of the compressor by an extension on at least one of the sheet metal parts, the silencing chambers being provided with bases whose outer surfaces are back to back. The motor compressor has a piston 4 Fig. 2 in a bore 3, a stator pack 5, a stator winding 6 and rotor 7. A component 10 acts as the cylinder head 11 and comprises two silencing chambers 13, 14 interconnected by a throttle passage 15 and surrounded by gas cushion compartments 19, 20. Orifices 27 may admit a refrigerant. The suction gas passes into chambers (17), Fig.1 (not shown) and passes through cylinder 3, valve 31, pressure line (34), Fig.3 (not shown), chamber 13, passage 15, chamber 14 and pipe 35.
