Abstract

A lifebelt comprises a tube 1 having braces 7 and connectable ends,: a bottle 8 of compressed air within the tube having a valve 10 adjacent a normally sealed orifice in the tube. In Fig. 1, two bottles 8 are connected by a pipe 9, one bottle having inlet valve 10 and an outlet valve A. Opening of valve A by manually pivoting a lever (22, Fig. 2, not shown) allows air flow through pipes 28 and from orifices 29 into the tube. The ends of the tube have elastic 4, hooks-5 and holes 6.
