Abstract

Apparatus for supplying a single additive to a plurality of primary flows 1, 4 (see Fig. 1, not shown) comprises venturis 3, 6 in each primary flow connected at their throats by a branch pipe 17, 18 to which is also connected a pipe 15 from the additive supply. There are adjustable orifices 19, 20 in the branch pipe to close the additive, which is contained in a flexible bag 14 to which pressure is applied from another branch pipe 9, 10 connecting the primary flows upstream of the venturis. The main flows can be gases or liquids and the additive can be gas, liquid, or powder suspended in gas or liquid.
