Abstract

In a fluid flow indicating device a member 6 disposed within a pipe 1 has a large bone 7 leading to a smaller bone 8, upstream of a shoulder 10 where a fluid pressure higher than that of the fluid flow is built up, forming a jet orifice from which part or all of the fluid flow is projected at right angles to the side wall on to a transparent domeshaped cover 14. A further bone 9 may be provided in the member 6 and only part of the fluid flow passes through the jet orifice 8. A paddle wheel provided within the dome 14 may be rotated by fluid from the jet orifice 8.
