Abstract

The subject matter of this Specification is similar to that described in Specification 1,142,318 but the claims are concerned with valve means 64, Fig. 3, actuated by temperature-responsive means 68 to increase, with increasing temperature, the flow area of passages 61, 62 for the air flow into the mixing chamber 22 additional to the air flow through the throat (16), Fig. 1 (not shown). A nut 75 with a spherical abutment surface 76 sets the position of the bi-metallic spring blade 68 to give a minimum flow area. An adjusting nut 72 sets the blade spring-load. In another embodiment Fig. 2 (not shown) stud 74 and nut 75 are omitted. In a modification the diaphragm (24), Fig. 1 (not shown) may be replaced by a piston.
