Method and apparatus for application of wet abrasive jet, characterized in that the apparatus comprises in combination a storage container for the suspension used in such jet application, whose container has upper or lower portions and a perforated intermediate deflector, means for quickly removing suspension below the baffle and discharge it at a point of said container located above the baffle for a flow subject to gravity and pressure difference through the baffle, with the rate of removal below the baffle being greater than the gravity flow rate through it, means for subjecting the interior of the container and the suspension contained therein to a pressure substantially greater than atmospheric, and means for discharging suspension under such pressure from a level in said upper container to the deflector for use in the application of the jet.
