Abstract

A cabinet, especially a refrigerator, wall 10 carries a plurality of vertically spaced support members, such as 11 (Fig. 2) or 26 (Fig. 5), formed as an integral group selectively engaged by cantilever arms 14a or 27 carrying grid shelves 14 or drawers 19 &c., the arrangement being such that the shelves 14 or drawers 19 may be selectively positioned on the supports 11, 26 at the desired location across the width of the wall 10. In one embodiment (Fig. 2) the supports 11 comprise rails which may be integral with the wall 10 or be formed in groups, having upturned flanges 12 over which the hooked cords 16 of the lateral shelf arms 14a are engaged with a lower end portion 17 bearing on a lower flange 12. The drawer 19 is slidably supported between arms similar to the shelf arms 14a. Alternatively (Fig. 5), the support members comprise vertical brackets 25 with vertically spaced recesses 26 which are selectively engaged by a rear portion 28 of a shelf retaining member 27 having a foot portion 29 bearing on the bracket 25.
