Abstract

1,198,887. Shelving. CROMPTON NETTLEFOLD STENMAN Ltd. 28 Nov., 1968, No. 56436/68. Heading A4B. A shelf support assembly comprises a channel section upright 1 with a row of slots 6 in one of its flanges 3, 4 and a shelf bracket 2 provided at its inner end with integral plate-like hooks 13 which selectively engage the slots 6 to lie parallel to the web 5 of the upright 1 and to support the bracket 2 in a position to extend outwardly from the web 5 of the upright 1. A rear edge 19 of a shelf supporting limb 11 of the bracket 2 bears on the web 5. Screws pass through holes 14 in the limb 11 to secure the shelf. The limb 11 may have an upturned free end (21). Sections of an upright may be interfitted end to end by engagement of a tongue 7 in a lower section to be secured by a screw passed through aligned holes 8, 9 in the two sections and engaged in a wall.
