Abstract
Un método para controlar potencia en un dispositivo portátil para medición fisiológica que tiene al menos una pila acoplada a un microprocesador y memoria, comprendiendo el método las etapas de: encender el dispositivo (202); medir un nivel de potencia de la pila (204); determinar si el nivel de potencia de la pila es mayor que un primer umbral (206); si el nivel de potencia es menor o igual que el primer umbral, entonces se anuncia una advertencia de batería baja (208) y se fija una bandera para batería baja como verdadera (210), sino se realiza el proceso de comprobación de arranque del dispositivo (214); después de realizar el proceso de comprobación de arranque, se evalúa la pila para determinar si el nivel de potencia es mayor que un segundo umbral y la bandera de batería baja se fija como verdadera (21); si la etapa de evaluación es afirmativa, entonces se registra la hora y fecha de la etapa de evaluación en la memoria (218) y se fija la bandera de batería baja como falsa (222) y se anuncia un cambio en el estado de la pila (220) del dispositivo; después, si le etapa de evaluación es afirmativa, o si la etapa de evaluación es negativa, se realiza una prueba de analito (224); después, medir el nivel de potencia de la pila (226); después, comprobar el nivel de potencia de la pila contra el primer umbral (228); si la comprobación indica que el nivel de potencia es mayor que el primer umbral, entonces se anuncia un resultado (230) de la prueba del analito, sino se anuncia una advertencia de batería baja (208) y se fija la bandera para batería baja como verdadera (210).
