Abstract

Procedimiento para la fabricación de cadenas de transmisión, caracterizado porque, después del mecanizado o la puesta en forma de los elementos que constituyen las articulaciones de la cadena, se efectúa primeramente una difusión metálica, en la forma ya de sí conocida, de por lo menos un metal de aportación, a partir de la superficie externa de los mencionados elementos y sobre una fracción de su espesor, y una cementación por un procedimiento clásico conocido, que aporta carbono al seno de la capa superficial; en proceder luego a un tratamiento térmico de globalización de los carburos, y en efectuar, por último, un temple destinado a transformar la aleación a base de hierro, a causa de la difusión metálica, en una solución sólida verdadera, en general austenítica, mientras que las capas subyacentes, constituidas por el metal de soporte, adquieren sus estructuras normales, lo más frecuentemente martensíticas.
