Abstract

Un proceso para producir tiras de acero laminado en caliente con una resistencia a la tracción de entre 760 y 940 MPa y una relación de expansión de agujeros de al menos 50 %, el acero tiene una microestructura final que comprende ferrita, bainita y al menos 3 % de martensita, en donde el volumen total de la fase de ferrita y la fase de bainita no es menor que 80 %, en donde la martensita se distribuye dentro de la fase de bainita, opcionalmente, también martensita templada, austenita retenida y/o carburos finos que tienen un diámetro medio no mayor que 30 nm, y en donde la microestructura no contiene perlita ni Fe3C grueso, el acero que consiste, en % en peso, de: - 0,07-0,15 % de C - 0,65-1,30 % de Mn - 0,6-1,4 % de Cr - 0,005-0,35 % de Si - 0,03 % de P o menos - hasta 0,05 % de S - hasta 0,001 % de B - 0,07-0,2 % de Ti - 0,003-0,6 % de Al - hasta 0,01 % de N - Opcionalmente, contiene calcio en una cantidad consistente con un tratamiento con calcio para el control de inclusiones de MnS o contiene REM en una cantidad consistente con un tratamiento para el control de inclusiones de MnS; - el resto es hierro e impurezas inevitables asociadas con el proceso de fabricación de acero; - el proceso comprende: - proporcionar una plancha de acero o tira gruesa de dicha composición, tratada opcionalmente con calcio, mediante: - colada con solidificación continua, o - colada de planchas delgadas, o - colada por bandas, o - colada en tiras; - opcionalmente seguido por calentar nuevamente la plancha o tira de acero a una temperatura del nuevo calentamiento de a lo sumo 1300 °C; - laminar en caliente la plancha o tira gruesa y terminar el proceso de laminado en caliente a una temperatura final de laminado en caliente por encima de Ar3de modo que el acero se mantiene austenítico durante el último pase de laminado en caliente; - enfriar la tira laminada en caliente por medio de enfriamiento continuo o no a una velocidad de enfriamiento de al menos 20 °C/s hasta una temperatura de bobinado de entre Ms y Bs.
