Abstract

1. Una toalla médica desechable y que exhibe rehumectabilidad rápida acoplada con alta resistencia a la abrasión en húmedo, caracterizada porque comprende un material de banda no tejido, fibroso, ligado hasta la saturación con un látex hidrofóbico, dicha banda ligada teniendo una pérdida por abrasión en húmedo de menos de aproximadamente del 40 por 100, una capacidad de contención de absorbente en exceso del 300 por 100, y un nivel de citotoxicidad de cero, dicho látex hidrofóbico contenido en agente tensoactivo que tiene un nivel de citotoxicidad de cero a una concentración de 2 por 100 en peso, con base en los sólidos dentro del látex. 2. Una toalla médica desechable, según la reivindicación 1, caracterizada además porque el látex es una emulsión internamente estabilizada de un aglutinante acrílico entrelazable, el material de banda conteniendo más del 5 por 100 y menos del 50 por 100 en peso del aglutinante acrílico. 3. Una toalla médica desechable, según la reivindicación, caracterizadaademás porque el agente tensoactivo es un producto de condenación no iónico, de óxido de etileno y una base hidrofóbica, el agente tensoactivo teniendo una concentración hasta de aproximadamente el 2 por 100 en peso, con base en los sólidos en el látex. 4. Una toalla médica desechable, según las reivindicaciones 1, 2 ó 3, caracterizada ademas porque la banda no tejida, fibrosa, está constituida de una mezcla de fibras naturales y sintéticas en la forma de un material de banda tendido en húmedo. 5. Una toalla médica desechable, según las reivindicaciones 1, 2 ó 3, caracterizada además porque la banda no tejida, fibrosa, está constituida de 10 a 40 por 100 en peso de pulpa de alto contenido de alfacelulosa, 10 a 30 por 100 en peso de pulpa de hemucelulosa, 5 a 25 por 100 en peso de fibra vegetal y 10 a 35 por 100 en peso de fibra sintética. 6. Una toalla médica desechable, según la reivindicación 2, caracterizad además porque el aglutinante acrílico tiene una base de acrilato de estilo y elmaterial de banda contiene de 10 a 30 por 100 en peso aglutinante. 7. Una toalla médica desechable, según la reivindicación 5, caracterizada además porque la base hidrofóbica es un producto de reacción de óxido de propileno y propilenglicol. 8. Una toalla médica desechable, según cualquiera de las reivindicaciones 3 ó 7, caracterizada además porque al agente tensoactivo tiene un peso molecular de aproximadamente 5000. 9. Una toalla médica desechable, según la reivindicación 1, caracterizada además porque el látex es una emulsión acrílica internamente estabilizada, modificada con un agente tensoactivo no iónico a una concentración de 1 a 2 por 100 en peso, con base en los sólidos en el látex, dicha banda exhibiendo una resistencia a la tensión en húmedo, de por lo menos aproximadamente 600 g./25 mm., una capacidad de contención de absorbente de por lo menos, aproximadamente, 440 por 100, y una pérdida de abrasión un húmedo de menos de, aproximadamente, 30 por 100. 10. Una toalla médica desechable, según la reivindicación 9, caracterizada además porque la emulsión acrílica se hade de acrilato de etilo y el agente tensoactivo no iónico es un producto de condensación poliólico de óxido de etileno y una base hidrofóbica obtenida de la reacción de óxido de propileno y propilenglicol. 11. Una toalla médica desechable.
