Abstract
Un método para producir una planta leñosa transgénica que tiene una altura de crecimiento aumentada en comparación con su tipo silvestre, que comprende suprimir la expresión en la planta del nivel de un producto génico expresado específicamente durante las fases de formación de la madera codificado por a) la secuencia de nucleótidos de la SEQ ID NO: 15; o b) una secuencia de nucleótidos que es al menos un 70 % idéntica a la secuencia de nucleótidos de la SEQ ID NO: 15; en donde la expresión se suprime mediante interferencia de ARN.
