Abstract
Una tira de prueba electroquímica sustancialmente plana para la determinación de la presencia y/o cantidad de un analito en una muestra, que comprende: (a) un primer electrodo (131), un primer conector que comprende dos placas de contacto (134, 141, 141'), y un primer cable conductor (131) que se extiende entre el primer electrodo (131) y el primer conector para establecer una trayectoria para la conducción de una señal eléctrica entre el primer electrodo (131) y el primer conector, (b) un segundo electrodo (130), un segundo conector que comprende una o más placas de contacto (135, 46, 146, 146'), y un segundo cable conductor (130) que se extiende entre el segundo electrodo (130) y el segundo conector para establecer una trayectoria para la conducción de una señal eléctrica entre el segundo electrodo (130) y el segundo conector, y (c) una cámara de muestra (133) para recibir una muestra, dicho primer y segundo electrodo (131, 130) que se disponen para contactar una muestra dentro de la cámara de muestra (133) de manera que se genera una señal electroquímica, en donde el primero y el segundo conector se extienden desde un extremo de la tira de prueba que se inserta en un medidor de prueba y la placa o placas de contacto (135, 46, 146, 146') del segundo conector están entre las placas de contacto (134, 141, 141') del primer conector cuando se observa en el plano de la tira de prueba.
