Abstract
Proceso de injerto de polímeros bioactivos sobre un material protésico de titanio o de aleación de titanio que comprende las siguientes etapas: - la generación de especies activas donadoras de radicales libres en la superficie del material protésico de titanio o de aleación de titanio por oxidación de dicho material protésico de titanio o de aleación de titanio; - la generación de radicales libres en la superficie del material protésico de titanio o de aleación de titanio por reacción térmica a una temperatura comprendida entre 40 y 100ºC; y - la colocación de dicho material protésico de titanio o de aleación de titanio sobre el que se generan los radicales libres en presencia de al menos un monómero portador de una función que permite una polimerización radicalaria, permitiendo la polimerización radicalaria de dicho monómero la formación de un polímero bioactivo, realizándose dicha polimerización radicalaria en ausencia de oxígeno.

en las que M representa un ión metálico, preferiblemente un metal alcalino.
El metal alcalino se elige preferiblemente de sodio y potasio, ventajosamente sodio.
Entre los radicales alquilo de C1 a C6, lineales o ramificados, se pueden citar, en particular, los radicales metilo, etilo, 5 n-propilo, isopropilo, n-butilo o t-butilo, pentilo, y hexilo.
Entre los monómeros de fórmula (I), se pueden citar, en particular, ácido acrílico (AA), ácido metacrílico (MA), ácido etacrílico (EA), sus sales correspondientes (en particular sales de metal alcalino, preferiblemente de sodio) y sus mezclas. Se prefiere el ácido metacrílico.
Entre los monómeros de fórmula (II), se pueden citar, en particular, acrilamida de N-(sulfonato de fenil sodio) 10 (NaAS), metacrilamida de N-(sulfonato de fenil sodio) (NaMS), estireno sulfonato de sodio (NaSS) y sus mezclas. Se prefiere el estireno sulfonato de sodio.
Como ilustración, cuando A del monómero de fórmula (II) presenta la fórmula (III), el copolímero injertado sobre el material protésico puede estar representado más específicamente por la siguiente fórmula general (V):

La prima significa que la cantidad, la razón y el encadenamiento de las unidades monoméricas presentes en los copolímeros varían. Esta variación está relacionada directamente con los parámetros del proceso de polimerización, tales como por ejemplo la cantidad de cada monómero que se utiliza.
20 Los pesos moleculares de los polímeros injertados de acuerdo con el proceso de la presenta la invención pueden variar en gran medida y se eligen o se controlan por el experto en la materia en función de su aplicación o uso posterior. Para dar un orden de magnitud, el peso molecular promedio en peso puede variar de 1 000 a 100 000 daltons.
Para esto, las cantidades de los monómeros de fórmulas (I) y (II) pueden variar en gran medida y dependen en
25 particular de las propiedades deseadas para los copolímeros. Preferiblemente, la razón molar de (I) sobre (II) varía de 90/10 a 10/90, ventajosamente de 80/20 a 20/80. Los copolímeros de acuerdo con la invención presentan en particular las siguientes fracciones molares de (I) sobre (II): 90/10, 80/20, 70/30, 60/40, 50/50, 40/60, 30/70, 20/80 y 10/90 (estas fracciones corresponden en realidad a las fracciones de los monómeros introducidos, variando las fracciones de los monómeros incorporados en los copolímeros obtenidos por análisis RMN un máximo de ± 2
