Abstract

Aparato (12, 14) adecuado para controlar la vegetación, aparato que comprende un tanque (26) de almacenamiento para líquido que comprende agua que puede estar a la temperatura ambiental; medios (36) para suministrar líquido que comprende agua desde el tanque (26) de almacenamiento hasta un depósito (28), en el que va a calentarse; comprendiendo el depósito (28) para líquido caliente medios de calentamiento para calentar el líquido en el depósito (28), pudiendo conectarse los medios de calentamiento a una fuente (24) de alimentación, y estando dispuestos para calentar el líquido hasta una temperatura superior a 102ºC de manera que la presión en el depósito (28) será superior a la presión atmosférica, comprendiendo los medios de calentamiento una pluralidad de calentadores (34) dispuestos en serie, de modo que el agua se calienta sucesivamente mediante los calentadores (34) y se eleva la temperatura en una pluralidad de etapas; medios (38) de liberación conectados al depósito (28); y al menos una boquilla (74) para aplicar una corriente de espuma que contiene vapor de agua, conectada al depósito (28) a través de los medios (38) de liberación, dispuestos de manera que el agua esté a una presión elevada, y no entra en ebullición hasta que sale de una boquilla (74), y de manera que el líquido se combina con aire a medida que abandona la boquilla (74) para formar la espuma que contiene vapor de agua; estando cada boquilla (74) conectada a los medios (38) de liberación mediante una caja (50) de colector, estando la caja (50) de colector dotada de medios (53) de flujo de salida para llevar el líquido en exceso de vuelta al tanque (26) de almacenamiento; montándose el aparato sobre un carro (40, 42) con ruedas o un remolque que va a propulsarse mediante un vehículo (5) o montándose sobre un vehículo.
