Abstract

Un neumático perfeccionado que comprende una parte de banda de rodadura, cosntados y un par de regiones de talón cada una de las cuales contiene un refuerzo anular sustancialmente inextensible en el que por lo menos una de las regiones de talón está provista de una parte de pestaña extendida que se proyecta axial y radialmente comprendiendo la pestaña extendida axial y radialmente comprendiendo la pestaña extendida material elastómero que es flexible en dirección perpendicular a su longitud y sustancialmente rígido en la dirección de su longitud caracterizado porque la región de talón incluye además medios de apoyo que comprende un lomo de compuesto elastómero formado en la cara situada axialmente hacia dentro de dicha región de talón de tal modo que cuando se monta en una llanta que tenga una garganta complementaria formada en la misma para acomodar dicha parte de pestaña extendida y se aplica a la banda de rodadura del neumático una fuerza lateral inducida por el rodaje, el lomo hace contacto con la llanta despues de la rotación inicial de la región de talón para generar fuerzas de retención inicial de la región de talón para generar fuerzas de retención de talón adicionales a las generadas por la pestaña en la garganta.
