Abstract
Procedimiento para incrementar el rendimiento en plantas cultivadas en condiciones de disponibilidad reducida de nutrientes, en relación con las correspondientes plantas silvestres, que comprende modular la expresión en una planta de una secuencia de ácido nucleico que codifica un polipéptido hox5 de cremallera de leucina de homeodominio (HDZip) de clase I u homólogo del mismo, y opcionalmente seleccionar las plantas que tienen mayor rendimiento, en el que dicha secuencia de ácido nucleico que codifica dicho polipéptido hox5 de cremallera de leucina de homeodominio (HDZip) de clase I u homólogo del mismo se selecciona del grupo que consiste en: a) una secuencia de ácido nucleico representada por la SEC ID Nº 1; b) una secuencia de ácido nucleico que codifica un polipéptido representada por la SEC ID Nº 2, c) una secuencia de ácido nucleico que es capaz de hibridar en condiciones rigurosas con una secuencia de ácido nucleico representada por la SEC ID Nº 1 y d) una secuencia de ácido nucleico que codifica un polipéptido que tiene una identidad de secuencia de al menos un 70 % con un polipéptido, representada por la SEC ID Nº 2.
