Abstract

Un método de computación de corrientes de control para una pluralidad de LED (101, 102, 103, 104 y 105) en un píxel (700) de un letrero con el fin de alcanzar un color deseado con una intensidad luminosa deseada, siendo la pluralidad de 5 LED (101, 102, 103, 104 y 105) de más de tres colores básicos que definen una gama de colores (120), y que comprende: la selección de diferentes combinaciones de LED; para cada combinación de LED, la computación de las corrientes de control para los LED en la combinación requerida para proporcionar (a) el color deseado, cuando el color deseado se encuentre dentro de la gama de colores (120), o (b) un color sustituto, cuando el color deseado se encuentre fuera de la gama de colores, de tal forma que la intensidad luminosa resultante del color deseado o sustituto sea la máxima; el color sustituto es un color a lo largo de una línea de matiz constante percibido en un límite de la gama (120) entre el color deseado y un punto acromático dentro de la gama; y el uso de las corrientes de control computadas, escalando las corrientes de control para alcanzar la intensidad luminosa deseada en el color deseado, en el que las corrientes de control para cada color seleccionado se computan en un espacio de color uniforme.
