Abstract

Un procedimiento para hacer reaccionar un aceite de hidrocarburo con oxigeno libre y vapor de agua en proporciones determinadas de antemano para producir una mezcla de productos gaseosos de combustión parcial de dicho aceite, caracterizado porque se introduce dicho aceite en forma líquida en una corriente de vapor de agua, se somete la mezcla resultante de aceite y vapor de agua a flujo turbulento a través de una zona tubular alargada a una velocidad superior a 6 m/seg. preferiblemente superior a 9m/seg, para efectuar la dispersión íntima del aceite en el vapor de agua, se introduce la dispersión resultante a una velocidad superior a 6m/seg, preferiblemente superior a 9m /seg. en una zona de reacción en mezcla íntima con oxigeno y se efectúa dicha combustión parcial en dicha zona de reacción a una temperatura comprendida entre los límites de 982º y 1926ºC.
