Abstract

Banda fibrosa, no tejida, mechosa, tendida con agua, que exhibe esponjosidad, voluminosidad, suavidad y absorbencia elevadas, caracterizada porque está constituida de un miembro de cuerpo principal plano y una pluralidad de mechones de fibras separados, sin gazas, integrales con el miembro de cuerpo principal y que se extienden libremente desde su superficie, dichos mechones estando constituidos de una porción de cabeza de forma soplada, de fibras consolidadas y una porción de vástago de fibras substancialmente alineadas, que anclan la porción de cabeza al miembro de cuerpo principal, las fibras formando dicha porción de vástago que tiene primeros extremos que se extienden al miembro de cuerpo principal del material de banda y extremos opuestos, libres del cuerpo principal y que se extienden hacia la porción de cabeza, la porción de cabeza de forma soplada estando constituida de fibras espiralmente consolidadas a un manojo o haz doblado hacia adentro, compresivamente, y enmarañado, de apariencia similar a un nudo francés.
