Abstract

Formulación funcional a base de fibra dietética antioxidante y fibra soluble. Las fibras antioxidantes crean un elevado estatus antioxidante en el intestino, lo cual es un factor de protección de enfermedades gastrointestinales. La inclusión en una formulación de fibra antioxidante y fibra soluble, produce una acción sinérgica potenciadora de efectos hipocolesterolémicos y de salud intestinal. Una preparación tipo es la mezcla de fibra antioxidante de uva y fibra soluble Psyllium. También pueden usarse otras fibras antioxidantes (alga Fucus, guayaba, etc) y fibras solubles (betaglucanos, galactomananos, inulina, pectinas, etc) para la elaboración de estas formulaciones sinérgicas. Estas formulaciones se pueden aplicar como ingredientes en alimentos y bebidas para enriquecerlos en fibra dietética y simultáneamente prevenir la oxidación de grasas, y como suplementos dietéticos destinados tanto a personas sanas como a personas que precisen tratamiento de trastornos intestinales, hipercolesterolemia, hiperglucemia u obesidad.Functional formulation based on antioxidant dietary fiber and soluble fiber. En las dos últimas décadas la investigación científica ha puesto de manifiesto los efectos positivos en salud de la fibra dietética (FD), especialmente en regulación intestinal y en efectos sistémicos hipocolesterolémicos e hipoglucemiantes.
