Abstract

La invención se refiere a un cable autoextinguible de humo débil, en particular para la distribución de energía eléctrica bajo tensión débil o para telecomunicaciones, que comprende un conductor y un revestimiento retardante de llama desprovisto de halógeno en el que se utiliza hidróxido de magnesio natural como material de carga con efecto retardante de llama. El revestimiento en cuestión comprende (a) un homopolímero o un copolímero de propileno cristalino; (b) un copolímero de etileno que comprende al menos una alfaolefina que tiene entre 3 y 12 átomos de carbono, y que comprende eventualmente un dieno; dicho copolímero (b) se caracteriza por un índice de distribución de composición superior a un 45%, definiéndose este índice como el porcentaje poderla de las moléculas de copolímeros cuyo contenido de alfaolefina está en una gama de 50% respecto del contenido molar medio total de alfaolefina; c) hidróxido de magnesio natural.
