LA PRESENTE INVENCION SUMINISTRA UN PROCESO PARA LA PREPARACION DE MICROPARTICULAS BIOCOMPATIBLES Y BIODEGRADABLES. DICHO PROCESO COMPRENDE: (1) PONER EN CONTACTO LAS MICROPARTICULAS, QUE CONTIENEN UNA MATRIZ POLIMERICA BIOCOMPATIBLE Y BIODEGRADABLE QUE A SU VEZ POSEE UN AGENTE ACTIVO (POR EJEMPLO, FARMACEUTICO O DIAGNOSTICO) Y UN DISOLVENTE ORGANICO, CON UN SISTEMA DISOLVENTE ACUOSO, DONDE EL CONTENIDO DE DICHO DISOLVENTE EN DICHAS MICROPARTICULAS SE REDUCE A UN PESO IGUAL O INFERIOR AL 2 % DEL PESO DE TALES PARTICULAS Y ADEMAS EL SISTEMA DISOLVENTE TIENE QUE SATISFACER AL MENOS UNA DE LAS SIGUIENTES CONDICIONES: (A) QUE ESTE A UNA TEMPERATURA ELEVADA (POR EJEMPLO, DE 25 A 40°C) DURANTE, AL MENOS, PARTE DEL TIEMPO EN QUE SE PONE EN CONTACTO CON DICHAS PARTICULAS, Y (B) QUE CONTENGA AGUA Y DISOLVENTE MISCIBLE EN AGUA PARA DICHO DISOLVENTE ORGANICO; Y (2) RECUPERAR DICHAS PARTICULAS A PARTIR DE TAL SISTEMA DISOLVENTE ACUOSO.
