Abstract
Un método para codificación de audio que comprende las operaciones de realizar los actos de: recibir una señal de referencia que transmite la alineación de tramas de información de vídeo en una secuencia de tramas de información de vídeo, en la que tramas adyacentes están separadas por un intervalo de trama; recibir una señal de audio que transmite información de audio; analizar la señal de audio para identificar características de la información de audio; generar una señal de control que transmite longitudes de segmento para segmentos de la información de audio en una secuencia de segmentos solapados, teniendo un segmento respectivo un intervalo de solapamiento respectivo con un segmento adyacente y teniendo la secuencia una longitud igual al intervalo de trama más un intervalo de solapamiento de trama, en el que las longitudes de los segmentos se adaptan en respuesta a las características de la información de audio; aplicar un proceso de codificación por bloques adaptable a los segmentossolapados de la secuencia para generar una pluralidad de bloques de información codificada, en el que el proceso de codificación por bloques se adapta en respuesta a la señal de control; y ensamblar la pluralidad de bloques de información codificada y de información de control que transmite las longitudes de segmentos para formar una trama de información codificada que esté alineada con la señal de referencia.
