LA PRESENTE INVENCION, SE REFIERE A MATERIALES COMPUESTOS DE SILICE/ZEOLITA EN FORMA ESFERICA Y AL PROCEDIMIENTO DE PREPARACION DE LOS MISMOS, QUE TIENE LUGAR MEDIANTE LA DISPERSION DE PARTICULAS SUBMICRONICAS DE SILICALITA DE TITANIO, ZEOLITA BETA, O MEZCLAS DE AMBAS, EN UN SOL DE SILICE, SINTETIZADO MEDIANTE HIDROLISIS ACIDA DE ALCOXIDOS DE SILICIO. EL SOL HIBRIDO ASI OBTENIDO, SOMETIDO A TECNICAS DE EMULSIFICACION Y GELIFICACION EN MEDIOS ORGANICOS, PRODUCE DICHOS MATERIALES DE FORMA ESFERICA, CON UN DIAMETRO MEDIO DE ENTRE 20 Y 150 {MI}M, Y QUE CONTIENEN HASTA EL 70% EN PESO DE SILICALITA DE TITANIO, ZEOLITA BETA, O MEZCLAS DE AMBAS.
