LA INVENCION CONSISTE EN PONER EN CONTACTO EN FORMA DE UNA SUSPENSION ACUOSA LOS RESIDUOS ALCALINOS (1), GENERALMENTE "LODOS ROJOS" CON UNA RESINA CATIONICA (2) DE TIPO RH + , PREFERENTEMENTE UNA RESINA CARBOXILICA, PARA FIJAR SELECTIVA Y CUANTITATIVAMENTE EL SODIO SOBRE LA RESINA (5), Y A CONTINUACION EN EXTRAER LO CUANTITATIVAMENTE EN FORMA NAOH(8) POR DESPLAZAMIENTO MEDIANTE UNA SUSPENSION DE CAL (6), PREFERENTEMENTE LECHADA DE CAL.
