Abstract

During shunting, it occasionally occurs that a points-circuit zone is prematurely reported as free below an unusually long vehicle by the associated track free report device. This vehicle end code (FEZA) is connected, as the vehicle or group of vehicles advances further, to the free report signal (GFZA &uarr& ) of the track free report device of the following track section to form a new vehicle end code (FEWB) for this section which indicates that the second section is completely cleared. This process continues as the vehicle or group of vehicles advances from section to section. <IMAGE>
