COMMUNICATION LOGIC CONSISTS OF A SERIAL DATA LINK (3) TO COMMUNICATE THE CONTROL CODE BETWEEN THE DISPLAY DEVICE AND THE DEPARTURE PORT, A DEVICE LOGIC (97) POSTED ON THE DISPLAY DEVICE TO COMMUNICATE THE DISPLAY CODE CONTROL BETWEEN THE MEMORY AND THE SERIAL DATA LINK AND AN ADAPTER LOGIC (96) POSTED IN THE ADAPTER CIRCUIT OF THE DISPLAYS TO COMMUNICATE THE CONTROL CODE BETWEEN THE SERIAL DATA LINK AND THE ADAPTER CIRCUIT OF THE DISPLAYS. THE CONTROL DATA, SUCH AS THE SIGNAL SYNCHRONIZATION REQUIREMENTS OF ANY NEW DISPLAY DEVICE, CAN BE STORED IN THE MODE OF DIGITAL CONTROL CODES STORED IN THE MEMORY OF THE DISPLAY DEVICE, THEREFORE THERE IS NO CURRENT PROGRAM. DISPLAY EVERY TIME A DIFFERENT DISPLAY DEVICE IS CONNECTED TO THE PORT OF DEPARTURE. INSTEAD, THE DISPLAY ADAPTER CAN READ THE NEW SYNCHRONIZATION REQUIREMENTS IN THE MEMORY OF THE NEW DISPLAY DEVICE TO GENERATE VIDEO AND SYNCHRONIZATION SIGNALS TO CORRECTLY OPERATE THE NEW DISPLAY DEVICE. IN ADDITION, WHEN THE DISPLAY SYSTEM CONTAINS A MULTIPLE MODE DISPLAY DEVICE, THE DISPLAY ADAPTER CIRCUIT MAY USE A SERIAL LINK TO CONFIGURE THE DISPLAY DEVICE TO OPERATE IN THE DISPLAY MODE.
