EL PROCESO SE LLEVA A CABO EN UNA CELULA ELECTROLITICA CON UN ANODO Y DOS CATODOS ENTRE LOS QUE SE APLICA UNA CORRIENTE CONTINUA DE HASTA 100 V, DIFUNDIENDOSE EL OXIGENO A UNA PRESION ENTRE LA ATMOSFERICA Y 50 ATM Y CIRCULANDO LAS AGUAS EN REGIMEN TURBULENTO A 80 C COMO MAXIMO.
