UN ALCANO, POR EJEMPOLO, EL PROPANO, ES CONVERIDO ENUN ALQUENO EN UN DSHIDROGENADOR CATALITICO. EL FLUJO RESTANTE SE INTRODUCE EN UN REACTOR DE AMOXIDACION U OXIDACION. EL PRODUCTO FORMADO SE RECUPERA EN UNA TORE CONVENCIONAL DE TEMPLADO. AUMENTA LA PRESION DEL FLUIDO AGASEOSO DE LA TORRE DE TEMPLADO Y SE INTRODUCE EN UNA UNIDAD DE ABSORCION EMPLEANDO UN HIDROCARABONO LIQUIDO PARA FORMAR UN FLUIDO DE RECICLAJE CONTENIENDO UN ALCANO SIN REACCIONAR Y UN ALQUENO ASI COMO UN APEQUEÑA CANTIDAD DE OXIGENO, HABITUALMENTE UN 1% POR VOLUMEN, Y UN FLUIDO DE DESECHO QUE CONSTA DEL RESIDUO DE LA FASE GASEOSSA DE LA TORRE DE TEMPLADO. EL FLUIDO DE RECICLAJE SE INTRODUCE ENUNA UNIDAD DE OXIDACION SELECTIVA PARA RETIRA EL OXIGENO Y DESPUES ENVIARA EL RECICLADO AL DESHIDROGENADOR LA FLAMABILIDAD DEL FLUIDO DE DESECHO DE LA UNIDAD DE ABSORCION SE MINIMIZA POR LA SELECCION DE LOS PARAMETROS OPERATIVOS DEL PROCESO Y, SI ES NECESARI, POR LA ADICION DE UN SUPRESOR DE LLAMAS GASEOSAS. ESTE SE RETIRA CON LA CORRIENTE DE DESECHO DE LA UNIDAD DE ABOSRCION QUE PUEDE QUEMARSE PARA DAR ENERGIA AL PROCESO. PUEDE EMPLEARSE UNA UNIDAD PSA PARA RETIRAR EL EXCESO DE HIDROGENO DE LA SALIDA DEL DESHIDROGENADOR. ESTE PUEDE SER MULTIETAPA, PUDEENDOSE EFECTUAR ASI EL PROCESO SIN LA UNIDAD DE OXIDACION SELECTIVA.
