LOS CONVERTIDORES DIGITO-ANALOGICOS UTILIZADOS PARA CONVERTIR UNA SEÑAL DIGITAL EN ANALOGICA TIENE UNA AMPLIA GAMA DE CUANTIFICACION PARA PROPORCIONAR LA MEJOR RESOLUCION POSIBLE. DICHOS CONVERTIDORES DIGITO-ANALOGICOS SON MUY CAROS. POR TANTO LOS CONVERTIDORES DIGITO-ANALOGICOS CON GAMAS DE CUANTIFICACION MAS ESTRECHAS SE UTILIZAN PARA CONMUTADORES DE SUBDIVISION FINA CONVERTIDOS A FUENTES QUE INTRODUCEN UN GRAN PASO AL ALCANZAR EL EXTREMO DE LA GAMA DE CUANTIFICACION Y SE VUELVE A RESOLVER LA NUEVA GAMA EN PASOS CORTOS UTILIZANDO EL CONVERTIDOR DIGITO-ANALOGICO. DESPUES DE PASAR AL SIGUIENTE PASO GRANDE, EL CONVERTIDOR DIGITO-ANALOGICO EMPIEZA DESDE CERO. DESPUES DEL AUMENTO, EL VALOR DIGITAL TRANSMITIDO SE ALMACENA TAMBIEN AL ALCANZAR EL MISMO UMBRAL.
