UN PRIMER EXTREMO DEL ELEMENTO ESTA DISPUESTO EN CONTACTO O COMUNICACION TERMICA CON LA PERIFERIA EXTERIOR DEL TUBO, Y UN SEGUNDO EXTREMO DEL ELEMENTO ESTA SEPARADO DEL TUBO. POR CONDUCCION DE CALOR A TRAVES DEL TUBO HACIA EL PRIMER EXTREMO, SE ESTABLECE UN GRADIENTE DE TEMPERATURA A TRAVES DEL ELEMENTO CON TEMPERATURA ALTA CERCA DEL PRIMER EXTREMO, Y TEMPERATURA BAJA CERCA DEL SEGUNDO EXTREMO. UN TERMOPAR ESTA DISPUESTO MAS PROXIMO AL TUBO QUE EL OTRO TERMOPAR. SEÑALES DEPENDIENTES DE TEMPERATURA DE TERMOPARES, SON TRANSMITIDAS A DISPOSITIVOS EVALUADORES ELECTRONICOS QUE DETERMINAN UNA DIFERENCIA DE TEMPERATURAS ENTRE TERMOPARES, EN BASE A SUS SEÑALES, QUE ES COMPARADA CON VALORES CONOCIDOS DETERMINANDO EL ESTADO DEL FLUJO DEL TUBO.
