Abstract

PURPOSE:To make an electrical connection easy for ignition unit and heat sensing element by mounting the heat sensing element to detect an engine temperature on a housing of a distributor operating in series together with the ignition unit. CONSTITUTION:An ignition unit 14 is fixed with a bolt 15 provided on a mounting seat 2b of a housing 2. A heat sensing element 19, for example a thermocouple or a thermistor, is mounted on a bottom 2c ranging to a bottom 2a of the housing 2. The heat sensing element 19 detects an engine temperature through the bottom 2c of the housing 2 and an engine ignition timing is controlled according to its electric signal.
