COMPRENDE UN CONVERTIDOR DE DOS HILOS A CUATRO HILOS, ES DECIR, UN CIRCUITO DE INTERFAZ DE LINEA DE ABONADO (SLIC) Y UN CIRCUITO DE AUDIOPROCESO DE LINEA DE ABONADO (SLAC). EN ESTE ULTIMO ESTA INCLUIDA USUALMENTE UNA IMPEDANCIA CONTROLABLE (Z) QUE COMPRENDE UN FILTRO DIGITAL. UNA RESISTENCIA (RT), QUE PUEDE SER CONTROLABLE, O UN AMPLIFICADOR CONTROLABLE (ZA), ESTA CONECTADO EN EL LADO DE CUATRO HILOS DEL SLIC PARA FORMAR LA PARTE RESISTIVA DE LA IMPEDANCIA TERMINAL (ZI), MIENTRAS QUE EL FILTRO DIGITAL YA DISPONIBLE EN EL SLAC FORMA LA PARTE REACTIVA. UN CIRCUITO ADITIVO (A1) SUPERPONE LA CONTRIBUCION DE LA CORRIENTE DE LA PARTE RESISTIVA A LA PARTE REACTIVA.
