EL PROCEDIMIENTO DESCRITO PREPARA UN POLISACARIDO MODIFICADO ACIDIFICANDO UNA COMPOSICION ACUOSA QUE CONTIENE 0,05 A 35% EN PESO DE POLISACARIDO PARA LO CUAL SE AÑADE ACIDO NITRICO HASTA ALCANZAR UN PH DE 2 A 0,1, CALENTANDO LA COMPOSICION A 50-100 C DURANTE 5 A 60 MINUTOS, ENFRIANDO LA COMPOSICION Y AUMENTANDO LUEGO SU PH HASTA UN VALOR DE 5 A 7 MEDIANTE LA ADICION DE UNA BASE. EL POLISACARIDO TRATADO SE ELIGE ENTRE GOMA XANTANO Y ESCLEROGLUCANO. LOS POLISACARIDOS MODIFICADOS OBTENIDOS SON ADECUADOS COMO ADITIVOS CAPACES DE AUMENTAR LA VISCOSIDAD DE PRODUCTOS TALES COMO EL PETROLEO, PARTICULARMENTE PARA LA RECUPERACION ASISTIDA DE ESTE A PARTIR DE YACIMIENTOS PARCIALMENTE AGOTADOS.
