Definitions

  • the invention relates to a pack for products of the cigarette industry, with a cover which surrounds a group of products of the cigarette industry as the contents of the pack, preferably on all sides, the cover being formed from a blank made of a packaging material, and wherein folding flaps of the blank are connected to one another by seams, according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • the invention relates to a method for producing such products, in particular, according to the preamble of claim 13.
  • products of the cigarette industry are understood to mean tobacco products such as cigarettes, cigarillos and the like, but also novel tobacco products such as heat-not-burn products or liquid carriers for e-cigarettes.
  • the object of the invention is to further develop packs of the type mentioned at the outset and to propose suitable methods for producing such packs, in particular with regard to improved manufacturability of the packs and / or with regard to an improved appearance of the packs.
  • a pack for solving this problem has the features of claim 1. It is accordingly provided that at least some seams are at least partially covered, preferably in each case by a cover formed by the blank for the envelope. In other words, it is proposed that several seams are at least partially covered by a common cover or by respective covers. The cover (s) are not formed by a separate cut, but rather by the cut for the envelope itself. Additional effort for the provision or handling of an additional cut is thus avoided.
  • the cover can also ensure that a possible lid of the pack does not collide with the seams when it is closed, because these are held on the pack by the cover.
  • it can be achieved by the cover that the seams are at least partially covered, which is beneficial to the appearance of the pack.
  • the pack which is usually essentially cuboid, is designed in such a way that the casing has a large-area front side, a corresponding opposite large-area rear side, narrow sides connecting the front and rear sides, and a base side and an opposite front side, the base side and the front side each on the front side,
  • the rear side and the narrow sides adjoin, and a removal opening is or can be formed preferably in the area of the front side and / or the front side.
  • the blank folded for wrapping has at least one folding tab on both sides of one or more walls to form the end wall, which is folded onto the respective seam on the narrow sides to at least partially cover a seam in the area of a narrow side of the wrapping.
  • the seams in the area of the opposite narrow sides are at least partially covered by a cover in each case.
  • the or each cover is formed by folding tabs of the blank for the envelope, in particular by upper and lower side cover flaps of the blank that at least partially overlap one another.
  • the or each cover in the region of the narrow sides is in each case at least partially connected to the folding tabs connected by the seams, in particular by gluing.
  • the envelope is arranged in an outer pack which has at least one preferably cup-shaped box part from which the package contents wrapped in the envelope protrude at least partially, and that the covers cover the seams of the envelope on the narrow sides cover at least partially in an area in which the seams are not covered by the box part.
  • This solution has the recognizable advantage that the seams are at least partially covered in the area with which the casing protrudes from the box part, that is in the area visible to the consumer.
  • a special feature can be that the blank for the envelope is formed according to the longitudinal winding principle and the blank folded to form the envelope has an overlap flap adjacent to a wall to form the rear side of the envelope, which is folded into the area of the front side and rests on the contents of the package , and that the blank folded to form the envelope has a connecting tab adjacent to a wall to form the front side of the envelope, which is folded into the area of the rear side of the envelope and there is bonded to the wall to form the rear side of the envelope.
  • the blank for the envelope is formed according to the longitudinal winding principle and has walls following one another in the longitudinal direction, which are separated from one another by fold lines and / or cut lines, namely an end wall, a front wall, a bottom wall and a rear wall, which are are located on corresponding side surfaces of the envelope, and that folding tabs are arranged on both sides of the front wall, the bottom wall and the rear wall, the folding tabs on both sides of the front wall and rear wall serving to form the seams in the area of the narrow sides.
  • Another special feature can be that an overlap tab is arranged following the rear wall, which serves to overlap with the front wall.
  • a connecting strap is arranged following the front wall, which serves to overlap and connect to the rear wall.
  • folding tabs are arranged on both sides of the end wall to form covers, namely upper side cover tabs. Furthermore, further folding flaps can be arranged on both sides of the overlap flap to form covers, namely lower side cover flaps.

  • the blank can have a moisture-retaining barrier, for example a wax coating.
  • the folding flaps connected to one another in this way can form a fin seam.
  • a connection of the folding flaps by crimping is also conceivable.
  • the outer pack can be designed in the manner of a hinge-lid pack with a pivotable lid.
  • the cover (s) also has the advantage that there is no risk of the cover colliding with the fin seams in the area of the narrow sides when the cover is closed.
  • a conventional collar which at least partially covers the seams or the cover, can also be arranged in the box part.

It is accordingly provided that after at least some seams have been formed, these are at least partially covered by at least one cover, the at least one cover being formed by the blank for the envelope and being at least partially folded onto the seams. According to the invention it is further provided that the blank folded for wrapping has at least one folding flap on both sides of one or more walls to form the end wall, which is folded onto the respective seam on the narrow sides to at least partially cover a seam in the area of a narrow side of the wrapping.
