Definitions
- the invention relates to a processing machine with at least one cleaning device according to the preamble of claim 1 and a method for cleaning according to the preamble of claim 9.
- a substrate is usually processed in several processing steps.
- materials with different dimensions are processed as material webs in web processing machines.
- flexible materials such as cardboard webs or paper webs or rigid materials such as wood or laminate webs are processed.
- Web processing machines are designed, for example, as punching, cutting, folding, creasing, coating or printing machines.
- different printing processes are used in printing presses.
- non-impact printing methods are ionographic methods, magnetographic methods, thermographic methods, electrophotography, laser printing and in particular inkjet printing methods or inkjet printing methods.
- Such printing methods usually have at least one image-generating device, for example at least one print head.
- a print head is designed, for example as an inkjet print head, and has at least one and preferably several nozzles, by means of which at least one printing fluid, for example in the form of ink drops, can be transferred to a printing material.
- Alternative printing methods have solid printing forms, for example gravure printing methods, planographic printing methods, offset printing methods and relief printing methods, in particular flexographic printing methods.
- a non-impact printing process or a printing process with a solid printing form may be preferable.
- Material webs for example paper webs

- the cleaning device can be moved from a cleaning position (running position) into a parking position/web threading position (web threading position). In this position, the cleaning device only provides support for the threading of the web. To do this, the cleaning device is moved parallel to the web. It is not a second cleaning position with a second cleaning state.

- the maintenance effort is reduced and operating costs of the processing machine are saved.
- the at least one cleaning device is arranged at a distance from the substrate in the first cleaning position and in contact with the substrate in the further cleaning position is arranged.
- an adjustment from the first cleaning position to the second cleaning position takes place by moving the cleaning device from a cleaning area with a high force component opposing the suction force to a cleaning area with a lower force component opposing the suction force.
- an adjustment from the first cleaning position to the second cleaning position takes place by means of a displacement parallel to the transport path of the substrate.
- Such a cleaning area with a high force component directed counter to the suction force occurs, for example, when a guide element is arranged under the substrate.
- a cleaning area with a lower force component directed counter to the suction force is present, for example, if the substrate is arranged at a distance from a guide element.
- Another advantage that can be achieved with the invention is the flexible arrangement of the cleaning device in the processing machine.
- the cleaning device can be arranged below and/or above the substrate.
- cleaning of the top and/or bottom of the substrate is possible in this way.
- Another advantage that can be achieved with the invention is an improved design of the cleaning device.
- accessibility for maintenance purposes and/or assembly capability of the cleaning device is improved.

- a suction power and/or the effective range of the cleaning device can be adapted to the substrate width.
- Another advantage that can be achieved with the cleaning device is that automatic substrate feed is guaranteed.
