Definitions

  • the invention relates to a frame system for an insect and/or pollen screen, with a number of profile strips which are joined in frame corners using corner connectors.
  • insect, particle or pollen protection screens can be installed as frame systems and are inserted into a profile frame, which in turn should cover the building opening as completely as possible.
  • the aim here is to enable the most flexible adaptation to different opening sizes. It is desirable that the frame assembly be as unproblematic as possible and that the protective grille or mesh be easily inserted into the profile frame as a frame system. Disassembly should also be possible, especially to replace individual parts. Furthermore, it should be ensured that the frame system or the profile frame covered with the protective mesh (mesh or cloth) is held securely at the destination, in particular on a door or window.
  • the overall system should be as flexible as possible to enable adaptation to different boundary conditions found on site for assembly.
  • Such insect or pollen protection systems are usually provided according to the modular principle as an assembly set for individual adaptation to different window or door dimensions, so that the system can be flexibly adapted to practically all common building openings or door or window frames.
  • a mounting set includes a Number of profile strips that can be cut to length and an oversized mesh fabric.
  • the profile strips are assembled using corner connectors to form the rectangular frame system to which the mesh is attached.
  • the profile strips are designed as hollow profiles with a joining chamber for the frontal reception of mutually perpendicular joining legs of the plug-in corner connectors.
  • a frame system for an insect or pollen screen for attachment to a window or door frame is, for example, from DE 10 2012 023 546 A1 known.
  • the known frame system includes a number of profile strips that are connected to one another via one-piece (one-piece) corner connectors.
  • the profile strips are designed as hollow chamber profiles into which joint legs of the corner connectors are inserted.
  • a receiving channel that is open towards the window frame is used to hold a piping with which a mesh is attached and fastened to the profile strips.
  • the mesh covers the frame opening of the frame system and thus the window or door opening to prevent foreign bodies from entering.
  • the profile strips are typically first cut to length and the mesh fabric is cut to size. Sealing brushes are then conventionally drawn into the first receiving chambers on the back of the profile. The sealing brushes compensate for the support of the frame system on uneven contact surfaces, so that they seal securely against the ingress of dirt and insects in the area of the profile strips.
  • the profile strips equipped with sealing brushes are assembled into a rectangular frame system using the corner connectors.
  • the mesh is clamped into the assembled frame system by means of a holding element, typically a piping-like clamping strip, which can be clamped into a second receiving chamber on the back of the profile strips.
  • a frame system is known in which vertical longitudinal profiles and horizontal transverse profiles are mounted in the frame corners using one-piece corner connectors with joint legs at right angles to one another.
  • the cross profiles are designed in two parts and are adjustable.
  • tabs fastened to the respective corner connectors via screw connections are provided with an elongated hole on the cross-section part or on an additional part that has a joining pin that can be inserted into the cross-section part.
  • the (vertical) frame height of the frame system can be adjusted via the elongated holes in the screw connections of the tabs with the corner connectors.
  • the invention is therefore based on the object of specifying a frame system that can be assembled in a particularly simple, stable and visually as attractive manner as possible.
  • the corner connectors should be connected to the profile guides or installed in the frame corners as simply and reliably as possible.
  • the components and here also the corner connectors of the frame system should be as space-saving as possible, so that an outer packaging containing the components to be assembled has the smallest possible dimensions or is material-saving.
  • a corner or profile connector that is particularly suitable for this should be specified.
  • the frame system for an insect and/or pollen screen comprises a number of profile strips, which are preferably designed as essentially rectangular or square hollow profiles with an inner profile contour for receiving corner connectors.
  • the profile strips are joined using the corner connectors.
  • the corner connectors can be inserted or inserted in a suitable manner into a joining chamber of two profile strips to produce the frame corner on the profile face.
  • the corner connectors are designed in two parts, with the respective corner connector having a first joining leg and a second joining leg that can be joined with this.
  • the joining legs have a first leg section for connection to the profile strip and a second leg section with a joining contour.
  • the first joining leg has a first joining contour
  • the second joining leg has a second joining contour corresponding to the first joining contour.
  • the corner connector with two joining legs that can be joined or joined together is intended and set up for connecting, in particular form-fitting plug-in connections, two cut and / or telescopic profile strips in a frame corner of a frame system.
  • the corner connector is joined, the two joining legs are arranged at right angles to one another.
  • the joining contour of the first joining leg is a locking groove with a locking contour
  • the joining contour of the second joining leg is a locking leg with a locking hook, which engages in the joining contour of the first joining leg, which is designed as a locking groove, and engages over the locking contour to form a locking connection.
  • This latching or joining connection is advantageously detachable.
  • the first leg has a chamber into which a first channel for receiving an elastic cord (rubber cord) opens, the channel extending along the first leg section.
  • the second leg has a second channel extending along the first leg section for receiving the elastic cord.
  • the first channel is suitably a bore and the second channel is preferably a longitudinal groove or a groove.
  • the second channel opens into the chamber of the first joint leg, and the elastic cord lies in the first and second channels as well as in the chamber of the first foot leg.
  • a locking element is advantageously provided on the elastic cord, the cross-sectional area of which is larger than that of the channels on the leg side.
  • the joining legs of the respective corner connector are already connected by means of the, expediently elastic, cord before the joining legs of the respective corner connector are joined or locked together.
  • the first joining leg has at least one locking contour extending in the longitudinal direction of the second leg section.
  • the second joining leg has a counter contour which extends in the longitudinal direction of the first leg section and is complementary to the locking contour, the counter contour engaging behind the locking contour when the joining legs are joined together to form the corner connector.
  • the first joining leg has two locking contours spaced apart from one another and the second joining leg has two counter-contours that are complementary thereto.
  • a further joining structure in the form of, for example, a tongue-and-groove plug connection is provided in the area below the latching connection.
  • This can be achieved, for example, by a pin on the second joint leg and a complementary bushing, bead or blind hole in the first joint leg.
  • the two joint legs have mutually complementary miter contours, in particular 45° mitres to form a 90° angle between the joint legs.
  • the frame system is designed in the manner of a modular principle, in particular for self-assembly.
  • the profile strips and the mesh are manufactured in different (standard) sizes so that an individual frame system can be put together for different building openings.
  • the profile strips can be designed to be cut to length.
  • the profile strips can be moved telescopically into one another, so that the profile strips can be formed into longitudinal and transverse profiles in the desired, i.e. H. The length required at the location of assembly of the frame system can be adjusted.
  • the profile strips and/or the corner connectors can be made of plastic or metal, in particular aluminum.
  • the front of the profile strips is essentially smooth, creating a visually attractive frame system.

  • This is designed like a groove and is open and therefore accessible on the back of the profile strip or frame system.
  • the locking strip is approximately U-shaped in cross section, with the longitudinal groove formed thereby serving to accommodate the sealing brush.
  • the advantages achieved with the invention are, in particular, that by means of the two-part corner connectors with their joining legs that can be joined or connected to one another, on the one hand, a particularly simple and fail-safe corner assembly of the profile strips to the frame system is made possible.
  • the connecting legs require less space in the outer packaging of a frame system provided as a kit due to their small and therefore space-saving dimensions compared to the one-piece corner connector.
  • the outer packaging can be made correspondingly smaller and more material-saving.
  • the profile strips are provided with the joint legs of the corner connectors already inserted at the front and with the elastic cord pulled in.
  • the corresponding parts are already held together and the profile strips can be stored parallel to one another and included in the outer packaging.
