Definitions
- the invention relates to a gun barrel mount for a gun barrel, in particular a large caliber weapon, comprising a cradle with at least one barrel mount for mounting the gun barrel and a base piece that can be connected to the gun barrel.
- the application relates to a barrel weapon, in particular a large caliber weapon, comprising at least one such barrel mount and at least one barrel connected to the base piece.
- a weapon barrel is usually mounted in a cradle in order to allow the breech and barrel to recoil.
- the storage is usually designed as a plain bearing bush. This storage should be designed with as little play as possible in order to achieve high precision of the weapon system. Due to thermal expansion and the expansion of the weapon barrel as a result of the internal pressure occurring when the shot is fired, however, a small bearing clearance is required. Due to this bearing clearance, the pipe usually rests on the bearing only with the underside of the pipe due to its own weight. If a shot is fired, the tube expands under the gas pressure. The center of the tube performs a lifting movement in the vertical direction. This stroke movement represents a vibrational excitation of the barrel and has a negative impact on the precision of the weapon system.
- a bearing for a large caliber weapon which mounts the weapon barrel in two sliding bushes which are arranged at the muzzle end and at the bottom end of a cradle tube.
- the DE 39 36 454 A1 discloses to avoid the vibrations of a large-caliber barrel that occur during firing, instead of using conventional plain bush bearings, to use bearings without a stroke effect, in which the weapon barrel does not hit a fixed stop in the radial direction when a shot is fired, so that the barrel can expand both horizontally and vertically.
- To mount the weapon barrel in the cradle tube four guide rails are provided on the circumference of the weapon barrel, distributed evenly, extending in the direction of the longitudinal axis and designed as slide rails, which engage in corresponding guide grooves of the cradle tube in such a way that the directions of the bearing force and the radial tube expansion are each vertical to stand by each other.
- the main disadvantage of this type of mounting is that the guide rails and guide grooves on the weapon barrel extend over the entire length of the cradle tube, which means that a high level of manufacturing complexity is required.
- the guide elements are provided at least in some areas in the front and rear or in several areas. Changing the weapon barrel is time-consuming in such barrel weapons, and the outer diameter of the cradle is relatively large due to the use of such a bearing.
- From the DE 31 50 250 A1 discloses a barreled weapon with a large-caliber weapon barrel mounted in a cradle tube without any lifting effect.
- four guide rails are arranged, but not in the form of plain bearings, but rather as roller bearings, with the bearing surfaces of the guide rails being supported on the corresponding bearing surfaces of the cradle tube via rolling elements, which are guided by flat cages on the tube return.
- the DE 31 50 250 A1 sees as a disadvantage of the prior art on which this application is based that only plain bearings are used for the longitudinally displaceable guidance of large-caliber gun barrels, which, in order not to block, require an exceptionally large bearing play. However, this bearing play in turn has a negative impact on the hit accuracy.
- the DE 31 48 265 A1 also assumes that a large-caliber weapon barrel running backwards and forwards is supported by two plain bearing bushes as the state of the art and states that as a result of the plain bearing play that must be maintained, the accuracy of the hit is impaired by uncontrolled lateral movements of the barrel. This problem is solved in that the weapon barrel is now mounted without play within two bearings arranged in the cradle tube.
- a centered gun barrel front bearing for large caliber weapons which mounts the gun barrel with a known slide bushing bearing with an existing fitting clearance specification in the area of the cradle tube on the base piece side.
- the weapon barrel is mounted therein in a first sliding bush bearing arranged at the muzzle-side end and in a second one at the base piece-side end of the cradle tube.
- the first slide bushing bearing is constructed without any lifting effect and comprises a tube bushing, the outer surface of which is slidably mounted in the cradle tube.
- the respective barrel socket has on the inside at least three groove-shaped recesses which are distributed uniformly over the circumference and into which at least three strip-shaped projections of the weapon barrel engage.
- a predetermined play is provided between the outer surface of the weapon barrel or an inner ring that carries the strip-shaped projections and is positively connected to the weapon barrel and the inner surface of the barrel bushing, as well as between the strip heads and the inner surface of the groove-shaped recesses of the barrel bushing in such a way that the Expansion of the gun barrel is within this game.
- the invention is based on the object of creating a weapon barrel mounting which enables the barrel stroke movement to be reduced and does not adversely affect changing the weapon barrel.
- a gun barrel mounting for a gun barrel, which includes a cradle with at least one barrel mount, preferably two barrel mounts, for mounting the gun barrel and a base piece that can be connected to the gun barrel.
- the cradle and the base piece are separably connected to one another by at least one guide that radially supports the base piece.
- a barrel weapon comprising at least one such weapon barrel mount or one further developed as described below and at least one weapon barrel connected to the base piece.
- a weapon barrel mount which has a cradle which is connected to the base piece via at least one guide.
- the bottom piece can in turn be connected to the weapon barrel.
- a bearing of the weapon barrel and rear barrel bearing is avoided, particularly in the area of the charge space, in which the weapon barrel has a reduced wall thickness and consequently the barrel expansion is particularly large.
- the weapon barrel is preferably only guided until the projectile has left the returning weapon barrel. Since the weapon barrel is mounted above the base piece in the barrel weapon according to the invention, the lifting movement of the barrel is also significantly less.
- the design according to the invention also reduces the production costs compared to the existing solutions. Furthermore, the space required is significantly reduced and changing the pipe is not made more difficult by guide rails and the like. In addition, the structure of the gun barrel storage is not unnecessarily complicated.
- the cradle and base piece are separably connected to one another by the radially supporting guide. That is, the cradle and base are movable relative to each other, but are supported in a radial direction.
- the radial direction is a radial direction of the at least one barrel mount, preferably the rear barrel mount, and a radial direction of the weapon barrel.
- the cradle and the base piece are movably connected in an axial direction by the at least one guide. This ensures that the returning mass can move axially relative to the cradle.
- the axial direction is defined by the center line of the weapon barrel and/or the at least one barrel mount(s).
- the guide positions the cradle and the base piece in relation to one another in a radial direction of the at least one pipe bearing.
- the base piece and a weapon barrel that can be connected thereto are raised relative to the cradle and a rear barrel mount.
- Around the gun barrel is between gun barrel and rear Tube storage formed an even game.
- the weapon barrel can thus expand radially unhindered when fired.
- the greatest expansion of the barrel occurs in the area of the charge chamber of the weapon barrel, since this is where the internal pressure in the weapon barrel is highest when the shot is fired and the wall thickness is reduced.
- the rear barrel mounting is preferably arranged in this area, so that there is play between the rear barrel mounting and the gun barrel where the gun barrel widens the most.
- the weapon barrel mounting can provide that the guide comprises two guide elements and two correspondingly shaped recesses for movably receiving one side of the guide elements in the cradle or in the base piece.
- the position of both guide elements can be adjusted in a top-bottom direction.
- the position of a guide element can be adjusted in a right-left direction and the other holding element has play in the right-left direction in at least one of the recesses.
- the weapon barrel mounting can provide that the guide has a guide piece arranged below the cradle for supporting the base piece.
- the guide piece is preferably adapted to the shape of the base piece.
- the cradle has a pressing device, in particular a spring-loaded cam, which prestresses the base piece in relation to the guide. This prevents the bottom piece and weapon barrel from tilting in relation to the cradle.
- the guide positions the base piece and the cradle radially relative to one another in such a way that radial play is formed between the weapon barrel and a rear barrel mount.
- the weapon barrel is raised relative to the cradle and a rear barrel mount.
- the weapon barrel can thus expand radially unhindered when fired.
- the greatest expansion of the barrel occurs in the area of the charge chamber of the weapon barrel, since this is where the internal pressure in the weapon barrel is highest when the shot is fired and the wall thickness is reduced.
- the rear barrel mounting is preferably arranged in this area, so that there is play between the rear barrel mounting and the gun barrel where the weapon barrel is widened the most.
- a radially supporting length of the guide is at least as long as the return path of a returning mass until a fired projectile leaves the weapon barrel.
- the returning mass preferably includes at least the weapon barrel and the base piece.
- the guide is no longer in contact with the cradle and bottom piece for part of the return travel.
- the guide is again centered by centering or aligning means in such a way that the returning mass returns to its starting position.
- a guide arranged on the cradle can dip back into the base piece.
- a guide arranged on the base piece can dip back into the cradle.
- the gun barrel mount has a cradle 2 and two barrel mounts 5, 6 for mounting a gun barrel 1.
- a front barrel mount 5 is arranged in the front area of the cradle 2 and a rear barrel mount 6 is arranged in a rear area of the cradle 2.
