Abstract

The present invention relates to a furniture element comprising a basic frame (1) with a preferably rectangular base area and at least one side part (2), the basic frame (1) comprising edge areas, with profile elements (3) on at least two vertically aligned adjacent edge areas of the basic frame (1) ) are arranged, and wherein two opposite edge surfaces (6) of a side part (2) are introduced into receiving areas (4) of the profile elements (3). The invention also relates to a piece of furniture with one or more furniture elements.

Description

The present invention relates to a furniture element according to the preamble of the independent claim. The invention also relates to a piece of furniture which comprises one or more of the furniture elements according to the invention. In particular, the invention relates to a furniture element and a piece of furniture for kitchen furniture, preferably for outdoor or outdoor kitchens.

Outdoor cooking, such as using grills, outdoor kitchens, and the like, is becoming increasingly popular. The advantage of entire outdoor kitchens over conventional grills is that not only the hob itself, but also other equipment required for cooking, such as a worktop, boxes for stowing cooking utensils or a sink. This considerably improves the convenience of use and the usability of outdoor kitchens compared to barbecues is much more diverse.

In contrast to conventional kitchens that are used indoors, outdoor kitchens must be able to withstand certain weather conditions. Even if these kitchens are set up on covered areas, such as terraces or balconies, they are exposed to moisture, temperature differences and other environmental influences. Therefore, conventional solid wood panels, chipboard or the like are unsuitable for the construction of outdoor kitchens.

Materials that are very resistant to environmental influences are stone, stoneware or the like. However, these materials have a comparatively high density, which gives objects made from them a high weight. If an entire piece of furniture were to be made from stone or stoneware, it would be difficult to set up and transport. Nevertheless, it would be desirable to create pieces of furniture which consist entirely of such weatherproof materials in order to enable use as furniture elements or pieces of furniture in outdoor kitchens.

It is therefore an object of the present invention to overcome the mentioned disadvantages of the prior art and to create a furniture element or a piece of furniture which, despite the use of individual parts with a high weight, can be easily constructed and yet flexibly designed.

The invention thus relates to a furniture element comprising a basic framework with a preferably rectangular base area and at least one side part, the basic framework comprising edge regions.

The above-mentioned object of the invention is achieved by the characterizing features of the independent patent claim.

According to the invention, it is provided that profile elements are arranged on at least two vertically aligned adjacent edge regions of the basic structure, and that two opposite edge surfaces of a side part are introduced into receiving regions of the profile elements.

The basic structure thus forms the basic construction of the furniture element according to the invention and the side parts are held and / or stabilized by this basic construction. Two adjacent profile elements or their receiving areas can optionally form a holding area into which the side parts can be inserted.

The basic framework preferably spans a prismatic volume with a rectangular or square base area.

The basic structure preferably comprises feet which, when the furniture element is used as intended, can be arranged on a solid surface, for example on a floor, or on an additional compensating element, such as a foundation.

Relative terms such as “vertical” or “horizontal” in the context of the present invention are to be understood in relation to the intended alignment of the furniture element. "Adjacent" profile elements are in particular those profile elements that lie on a common outer surface of the furniture element.

The side parts are usually plate-shaped, the edge surfaces denoting those areas which include the thickness of the side part as a dimension. The term “side part” in the context of the present invention is not particularly restricted. A side part can be arranged on each preferably vertically oriented outer surface of the furniture element.

Due to the construction according to the invention, the basic structure can first be brought into a desired position, whereupon the side parts are pushed into the profiles. The basic structure itself is preferably a metal construction and therefore preferably has a low weight. The side parts with a high weight can be handled individually and thereby the furniture element can be assembled, for example, by one person alone. Since the basic structure specifies the basic shape, the furniture element can also be assembled by laypeople without prior technical knowledge.

If necessary, the side part can be connected to the profile elements, for example screwed, wedged or glued. This can ensure that the side part does not rest on the surface, but that a ventilation area is formed between the standing surface and the side part.

If necessary, the basic frame also includes a holding frame with support elements. The support frame serves to stabilize the position of the Profile elements, while the support elements can be used to attach furniture fixtures, such as drawers.

If necessary, it is provided that adjacent profile elements comprise U-profiles with mutually facing receiving areas. As a result, the side parts can be inserted particularly easily into the receiving areas and held by the basic structure.

If necessary, it is provided that a profile element has two receiving areas which are arranged opposite one another or essentially orthogonal to one another. Orthogonally arranged receiving areas can serve to form corners, while opposing receiving areas can connect several side parts within a plane.

If necessary, it is provided that the basic frame comprises at least one support surface arranged in the area between two profile elements and essentially orthogonally to the profile elements. In particular, a first ventilation area can be formed between the side part and the support surface.

If the furniture element is used in a piece of furniture, the worktop can rest on the support surface. The support surface can be arranged on a support frame of the basic frame in order to dissipate the static forces of the worktop on top.

The first ventilation area can serve for improved ventilation of the interior of the furniture element or of the piece of furniture. For example, this can improve operational safety if gas-powered cooking zones are used in an outdoor kitchen.

The height of the first ventilation area can optionally be between 0.5 cm and 2 cm, preferably about 1 cm.

If necessary, it is provided that a buffer element is arranged on at least one profile element. In particular, the buffer element can be arranged at that end of the profile element which is arranged in the area of the standing surface when the furniture element is used as intended. The buffer element can be inserted into the profile element, for example.

If necessary, it is provided that the buffer element comprises an elastomer granulate, in particular a rubber granulate.

The height of the buffer element can optionally be between 0.5 cm and 2 cm, preferably about 1 cm.

If necessary, a second ventilation area can be formed between an edge surface of a side part and the standing surface and / or the standing feet of the furniture element. This ventilation area can further improve the internal ventilation of the furniture element or piece of furniture.

The height of the second ventilation area can optionally be between 0.5 cm and 2 cm, preferably about 1 cm.

It is particularly preferred if a first ventilation area and a second ventilation area are provided.

If necessary, it is provided that the furniture element comprises a foundation, the foundation having an inclined standing plane with an inclination angle α between 1 ° and 5 °. The foundation is used to compensate for slopes of the ground, for example on terrace surfaces, which usually have a slope. The inclined foundation enables the furniture element to be in a horizontal orientation.

If necessary, it is provided that the side part comprises or consists of one or more of the following materials: natural stone, artificial stone, ceramic materials. Such materials have a high density. Hence the Use of the construction of the invention is particularly useful when using these materials. In general, the side parts can consist of all materials that are suitable for outdoor use.

The invention also relates to a piece of furniture comprising or consisting of one or more furniture elements according to the invention. The piece of furniture can thus be formed from one or more modules.

It is optionally provided that the piece of furniture comprises a cover plate and that the cover plate rests on at least two bearing surfaces of one or more furniture elements, the cover plate in particular forming the worktop of the piece of furniture.

If the cover plate rests on the support surfaces, the static load that acts on the basic structure is transferred to the basic structure.

The present invention is explained in detail below on the basis of an exemplary embodiment. This exemplary embodiment only serves to illustrate the invention and is not intended to restrict the scope of protection defined by the claims.

Fig. 1 shows a schematic perspective view of a basic framework 1 according to a first embodiment of the present invention. The basic frame 1 is designed for use in a furniture element according to the invention.

The basic frame 1 has an essentially rectangular standing surface. Starting from the standing area, an essentially prismatic volume is spanned by the basic framework 1. Profile elements 3, which comprise U-profiles 5, are arranged in each case on the vertical edge regions of the basic framework 1. In each case two adjacent profile elements 3 have mutually facing receiving areas 4 which are designed to receive side parts 2.

In addition to the profile elements 3, the basic frame 1 also includes a holding frame 11, which is used to stabilize the position of the profile elements 3. In this exemplary embodiment, the holding frame 11 additionally comprises support elements 12 which are used to support built-in components of the furniture element, such as drawers, box elements or electrical devices.

Each profile element 3 has two receiving areas which are arranged either opposite one another or essentially orthogonally to one another.

Four feet 14 of the holding frame 11 are connected to the floor on which the basic frame 1 is placed. These can stand freely on the ground or with a further element, for example the foundation 9 Fig. 4 be connected.

A support surface 7, which is designed to support a worktop, is arranged on the support frame 11. In this exemplary embodiment, the support surface 7 is formed by a plate which extends essentially orthogonally with respect to the profile elements 3. The support surface 7 is arranged between two profile elements 3.

Fig. 2 FIG. 11 shows a schematic view of the basic framework 1 from FIG Fig. 1 with two side parts 2. The side parts 2 are granite slabs in this embodiment. These are introduced into the receiving areas 4 of adjacent profile elements. The insertion usually takes place in the insertion direction 13 shown. The basic framework 1 can thus be placed at the desired location, whereupon the side parts 2 are inserted. It is then no longer necessary to move the furniture element.

In Fig. 2 it can also be seen that the side parts 2 have edge surfaces 6, each of which has the thickness of the plate as a surface dimension.

The lower areas of the profile elements 3, which stand on the standing surface, are each equipped with buffer elements 8, which in this exemplary embodiment are designed as elements made of rubber granulate and are inserted into the ends of the profile elements 3. The buffer elements 8 prevent direct contact between the floor and the side elements 2 and thus prevent damage to the edge surfaces 6 of the side elements 2.

The side elements 2 are held in the receiving areas 4 of the profile elements by screws (not shown). Fig. 3 FIG. 11 shows an enlarged view of a section from FIG Fig. 2 , in which a profile element 3 can be seen. The upper edge surface 6 of the completely inserted side part 2 ends flush with the profile element 3. In addition, the support surface 7, which is arranged on the support frame 11, can be seen. A first ventilation area 15 with a height of about 1 cm is provided between the support surface 7 and the upper edge surface 6 of the corresponding side part 2 in order to enable internal ventilation of a piece of furniture when a worktop is placed on it. Fig. 4 FIG. 11 shows an enlarged view of a further section from FIG Fig. 2 , in which the lower section of a profile element 3 is shown. It can be seen that a buffer element 8 is inserted into the profile element 3, as a result of which a second ventilation area 16 is formed between the standing surface 17 and the lower edge surface 6 of the side part 2. The height of the second ventilation area 16 is approximately 1 cm.

Fig. 5 shows a foundation 9 for use in connection with a furniture element according to the invention. In this case, the feet 14 of the basic framework 1 are placed on the standing plane 10 of the foundation 9 in order to enable an inclined floor or an inclined surface to be compensated. For this purpose, the standing plane 10 has an angle of inclination α compared to the horizontal of approximately 2 °.

A piece of furniture that comprises one or more furniture elements is not shown. In one embodiment, the piece of furniture can additionally comprise a cover plate, in particular a worktop, which rests on the support surfaces 7. The piece of furniture can furthermore comprise light elements, drawers, box elements, electrical devices, a sink and the like.

Furniture element comprising a basic frame (1) with a preferably rectangular base and at least one side part (2), the basic frame (1) comprising edge areas, characterized in that profile elements (3) are arranged on at least two vertically aligned adjacent edge areas of the basic frame (1) are, and that two opposite edge surfaces (6) of a side part (2) are introduced into receiving areas (4) of the profile elements (3). Furniture element according to Claim 1, characterized in that adjacent profile elements (3) comprise U-profiles (5) with receiving areas (4) facing one another. Furniture element according to Claim 1 or 2, characterized in that a profile element (3) has two receiving areas (4) which are arranged opposite one another or essentially orthogonal to one another. Furniture element according to one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the basic frame (1) comprises at least one support surface (7) arranged in the area between two profile elements (3) and essentially orthogonal to the profile elements (3), and that between the side part (2) and the support surface (7) a first ventilation area (15) is formed. Furniture element according to one of Claims 1 to 4, characterized in that a buffer element (8) is arranged on at least one profile element (3). Furniture element according to Claim 5, characterized in that the buffer element (8) comprises an elastomer granulate, in particular rubber granulate. Furniture element according to one of Claims 1 to 6, characterized in that the furniture element comprises a foundation (9), the foundation (9) having an inclined standing plane (10) with an inclination angle α between 1 ° and 5 °.
