Description

The invention relates to a cleaning device according to the preamble of claim 1. In particular, the invention relates to a cleaning device with a fresh water tank, at least one outlet nozzle, a liquid inlet between the fresh water tank and the at least one outlet nozzle, a pump for conveying liquid from the fresh water tank to the outlet nozzle and a control device for controlling the cleaning device in a cleaning mode. In particular, wet / dry vacuum devices are understood as cleaning devices. These cleaning devices preferably have several outlet nozzles with very small diameters, preferably with diameters smaller than 1.3 mm.

A cleaning device of the type mentioned above is from the GB 2 453 139 A known. The known cleaning device has a fresh water tank and an outlet nozzle, wherein liquid, in particular water or cleaning liquid, is conveyed with the pump through the outlet nozzle. The inlet line between the pump and the outlet nozzle is not vented in the generic devices, so that after the cleaning device has been switched off, residual liquid still remains in the inlet line and in the outlet nozzle.

To apply the liquid to a cleaning textile, e.g. in the form of a cleaning roller, it is necessary to keep the diameter of the outlet opening particularly small in order to be able to build up sufficient pressure for the liquid to be sprayed on. The thin cross-sections of the outlet nozzle create additional capillary effects, which in turn ensure that liquid remains in the inlet line and at the outlet openings after the cleaning device has been switched off.

The residual liquid dries and, depending on the degree of hardness of the liquid used, leaves limescale residues in the outlet nozzles or the supply line. The lime residue can partially or completely close the outlet nozzle in a short time, which limits the functionality of the cleaning device.

As a result, the cleaning devices must be descaled more frequently in order to ensure that they are functional and also to avoid damage to the cleaning device that may be associated with the decalcification.

From the U.S. 3,418,672 A A care device for bowling lanes is known in which care fluid is drawn in via air nozzles which are constructed in the manner of a jet pump and which suck in care fluid in the air nozzle via a negative pressure and spray it onto the ground as a misted fluid / air mixture. Here dripping of the care fluid is avoided by first interrupting the fluid flow and only later the air flow. However, there is no provision for suppressing deposits of the fluid in the area of the outlet nozzle.

The object of the invention is to provide a cleaning device which overcomes the above-mentioned disadvantages in a simple and inexpensive manner.

The object is achieved according to the invention by a cleaning device with the features of claim 1. Preferred embodiments of the invention are specified in the subclaims and the following description, each of which can represent an aspect of the invention individually or in combination.

According to the invention, the cleaning device now also has a device cleaning mode and the control device is designed in such a way that in the device cleaning mode the pump is initially actuated in a rinsing phase in order to pump liquid from the fresh water tank and then in a drying phase such compressed air through the supply line and the at least one Outlet nozzle is pumped so that the liquid is dried in the outlet nozzle or the outlet nozzles.

In this case, the compressed air can preferably be provided by the pump, with air for providing the compressed air in the drying phase in particular being able to be taken from the liquid tank by the pump.

The device cleaning mode has the advantage that it can be carried out particularly quickly and easily. As a result, the user of the device is more inclined to perform it regularly and the risk of premature calcification of the outlet nozzle of the cleaning device is significantly reduced.

The cleaning device advantageously has an additional decalcifying mode in which the device is decalcified with a decalcifying agent can be. However, this takes much longer than the device cleaning mode, which only takes 1 to 2 minutes.

With the device cleaning mode according to the invention, the regular decalcification or maintenance intervals can be selected longer, which saves time and effort.

The control device is particularly preferably set up to carry out the device cleaning mode in a time-controlled manner. For this purpose, the fresh water tank of the cleaning device is advantageously filled up to a device cleaning level. Then the fresh water tank is first emptied during the rinsing phase. The pump then sucks in air from the empty tank, which is then made available as compressed air for the drying phase.

A particularly user-friendly embodiment of the invention provides that the cleaning device has a level detection of the fresh water tank and the control device is set up in such a way that the drying phase is carried out in a time-controlled manner when the level in the liquid tank falls below a predefined threshold. This has the advantage that the user does not have to fill the cleaning device exactly up to the device cleaning level. The rinsing phase is then operated until the fresh water tank is empty. The drying phase is then initiated in a time-controlled manner by the control device. A time control of the device cleaning mode, in particular the drying phase, is advantageous and may be necessary, depending on the type of pump, to avoid damage to the pump, since the cooling liquid is missing in the drying phase.

In an advantageous embodiment, the cleaning device has a cleaning brush and / or a cleaning roller. The outlet nozzle is or the outlet nozzles are designed and arranged such that the cleaning brush and / or cleaning roller can be applied to the cleaning brush or cleaning roller for a cleaning operation with liquid from the outlet nozzle. In the device cleaning mode according to the invention, the cleaning brush or the cleaning roller is then cleaned and cleaned in accordance with the procedure described above at least partially dried. This contributes positively to the durability of the cleaning brush or the cleaning roller.

The cleaning device preferably has a level detection of the fresh water tank and the control device is set up in such a way that the pump switches off in the cleaning mode after the level in the liquid tank falls below a defined threshold and a time-controlled sequence is provided for the device cleaning mode, the device being switched off when the level falls below the Level threshold is deactivated.

The device cleaning mode is an operating mode that is to be differentiated from the cleaning mode and which must preferably be actively switched on by the user of the device. The control device is preferably set up in such a way that actuation of an actuation element assigned to the cleaning device triggers the device cleaning mode. The actuating element can in particular be arranged on the cleaning device.

A switch is provided on the cleaning device to switch the cleaning device on and off. For a simple and inexpensive embodiment, the actuating element can be formed by the switch, the cleaning device being transferred to the device cleaning mode by the control device only through a defined actuation sequence, in particular by actuating the switch over a period of a few seconds.

An advantageous embodiment of the cleaning device provides that the control is set up in such a way that the pump is operated intermittently in the rinsing phase of the device cleaning mode, in particular with two switch-on phases and two switch-off phases of the pump, the switch-on phases preferably being shorter than the switch-off phases. Furthermore, it can be provided that the pump and the control device are set up in such a way that they are operated in the rinsing phase and / or in the drying phase of the device cleaning mode with a volume flow of 220 ml / s.

The cleaning devices, in particular when designed as a wet / dry vacuum device, preferably provide that the cleaning brush or the cleaning roller can be controlled separately. The control device can be set up in such a way that the cleaning brush or the cleaning roller is operated continuously in the rinsing phase, the cleaning brush or the cleaning roller, in particular, being operated at maximum speed.

For proper cleaning of the cleaning device in the device cleaning mode, a defined amount of liquid is required, which should preferably be provided in the fresh water tank. For this purpose, means are preferably provided which display and / or detect the amount of liquid required for the rinsing phase. The amount of liquid required for the rinsing phase is preferably detected separately by evaluating the level detection.

In order to achieve particularly good drying of the outlet nozzles and the feed line or also the cleaning roller or brush, a separate pressure accumulator can be provided to provide the compressed air in the drying phase of the device cleaning mode. The compressed air reservoir is preferably arranged between the pump and the outlet nozzle. The pressure accumulator can, for example, also be formed by the feed line, wherein for example a shut-off means in the form of a switchable valve can be provided between the pump and the outlet opening. The compressed air reservoir can preferably be filled by the pump.

In Figure 1 an inventive wet / dry suction device 1 with control device 13 is shown. The wet / dry vacuum device 1 is designed here as a so-called stick device, ie it has a handle 5, at the upper end of which a handle 4 is provided, via which the user can switch on and guide the wet / dry vacuum device 1. In the lower region of the handle 5, a housing 2 is provided, in which a dirty liquid tank 7 is removably arranged. The wet / dry suction device 1 shown here is not just a suction device, but is designed as a combination device for cleaning and then vacuuming hard surfaces. For the cleaning function, it has a fresh water tank 6 in which fresh water or cleaning liquid is stored for supply to an application device which is arranged in the front functional area in addition to the lower suction nozzle 3. An actuating switch 14 is provided in the area of the handle 4.

The Figure 2 shows a schematic representation of the liquid flow in the wet / dry suction device from Figure 1 in one possible embodiment. The liquid guide comprises the liquid tank 6, a pump 8, inlet lines 9 and the outlet nozzle 10. In the immediate vicinity of the illustrated outlet nozzle 10, the application device in the form of a cleaning roller 11 is provided with a textile covering as a cleaning cover 12. Furthermore, a control device 13 of the cleaning device 1 is also shown, via which the wet / dry suction device is controlled. The arrangement and configuration of the components are shown purely schematically. For example, instead of the illustrated outlet nozzle 10, a plurality of nozzles and / or other nozzle shapes can also be provided.

During operation, the pump 8 pumps liquid from the liquid tank 6 through the feed lines 9 into the outlet nozzle 10 and from there it is applied to the cleaning roller 11, whereby the cleaning cover 12, which is designed as a textile cover, is moistened. The cleaning roller 11 is mechanically connected to an electric motor which sets the cleaning roller 11 in rotation. A separate roller motor is preferably provided as the electric motor only for driving the cleaning roller 11. The speed of the cleaning roller 11 can be regulated. As a result of the rotation of the cleaning roller 11, it is evenly moistened by the outlet nozzle 10.

The control device 13 is set up to control the pump 8, the roller motor (not shown) and also the suction unit (also not shown) of the wet / dry suction device 1 as a function of an operating mode of the cleaning device 1.

The wet / dry vacuum device 1 now has a cleaning mode and a device cleaning mode as operating modes. In the cleaning mode, the pump 8 pumps liquid from the liquid tank 6 through the feed line 9 into the outlet nozzle 10 and from there applied to the cleaning roller 11. The roller motor drives the cleaning roller 11, as a result of which the cleaning cover 12, which is designed as a textile cover, is moistened. When the wet / dry vacuum device 1 is used as intended, the floor is cleaned by the cleaning roller 11 in the cleaning mode and the liquid and dirt particles are sucked into the dirty liquid tank 7 by the suction unit (not shown here).

The device cleaning mode must be switched on by the user of the wet / dry vacuum device 1. For this purpose, in the embodiment described here, it is provided that the actuating button 14 for switching on the wet / dry vacuum device 1 is assigned twice. A longer pressing of the actuating button 14 causes the control device 13 to transfer the wet / dry vacuum device 1 to the device cleaning mode.

The device cleaning mode comprises at least a rinsing phase and a drying phase. During the rinsing phase, on the one hand the supply lines 9 and the outlet nozzle 10, but also the cleaning cover 12 of the cleaning roller 11, which is formed by the textile covering, are rinsed and thus cleaned. In the subsequent drying phase, compressed air is pumped through the feed line 9 and the outlet nozzle 10 against the cleaning roller 11. In this way, the inlet line 9 and the outlet nozzle 10 are freed from the remaining liquid. Furthermore, the cleaning cover 12 of the cleaning roller 11 is also at least partially dried.

A defined amount of liquid must be provided in the liquid tank 6 to carry out the rinsing phase. In a particularly simple manner, an indicator marking can be provided on the liquid tank 6, up to which the liquid tank 6 must be filled for the device cleaning mode.

In this case, the liquid tank 6 is completely emptied during the rinsing phase. After the liquid tank 6 has been emptied, the drying phase takes place. The pump 8 sucks in air from the empty liquid tank 6 and pushes it through the inlet line 9 and the nozzle 10. The pump 8 is set up so that it can apply sufficient pressure for proper drying. The supply of compressed air by the pump 8 can also be supported by a compressed air reservoir and / or a valve circuit.

The embodiment described represents a particularly simple solution that does not require any additional sensors. In order to provide the defined amount of liquid for the rinsing phase, the fill level can also be detected by one or more sensors.

A preferred device cleaning mode control sequence is described below. The control sequence includes the control of the pump 8, the roller motor, the suction unit and an LED for displaying the operating mode by the control device 13.

Tab. 1: Gerätereinigungsmodus mit zugehörigen Ansteuermodalitäten durch die Steuervorrichtung Phasen LED Saugaggregat Walzenmotor Pumpe Einleitung An, blinkend Aus Warnmodus Aus Spülen An An, mit maximaler Drehzahl An, maximaler Volumenstrom Aus An, maximaler Volumenstrom Aus Trocknen Aus Aus An, maximaler Volumenstrom An An, mit maximaler Drehzahl Warnmodus Ende Aus Aus Aus Aus The individual steps of the device cleaning mode with the associated control modalities by the control device 13 are listed in Table 1. <b> tab. 1: Device cleaning mode with associated control modalities by the control device </b> Phases LED Suction unit Roller motor pump introduction On, blinking Out Warning mode Out do the washing up At On, at maximum speed On, maximum volume flow Out On, maximum volume flow Out dry Out Out On, maximum volume flow At On, at maximum speed Warning mode end Out Out Out Out

First, the device cleaning mode 16 is initiated by pressing the actuating button 14 for a longer period of time. In the introductory step, the user is visually and haptically made aware of the beginning of the device cleaning operation. The LED on the cleaning device 1 is activated to flash and the cleaning roller 11 is switched to a warning mode 16, with the roller motor causing the cleaning roller 11 to vibrate in a clocked mode in the warning mode 16.

The rinsing phase is then carried out. For this purpose, the control device 13 switches on the suction unit, the roller motor and the pump 8. The cleaning roller 11 is operated at maximum speed during the entire rinsing phase. The pump 8, on the other hand, is switched on and off alternately.

After the rinsing phase, the control device 13 initiates the drying phase. This initially includes briefly switching off the suction unit and roller motor. Then both are switched on again, as can be seen from Table 1. The roller motor rotates again at maximum speed. The end of the drying phase is then made known to the user haptically by the warning mode 16 of the roller motor. The pump 8 is operated at full power during the entire drying process and thus generates the compressed air for drying. The device cleaning mode is ended by switching off all motors and the LED by the control device 13.

In Figure 3 the individual switching processes, matching the steps described in Table 1, are plotted over time. The exact times are not specified, but the relationships between switch-on time and switch-off time are shown correctly and also claimed as a preferred embodiment. It takes about one minute to go through the device cleaning mode.

The top graph forms the LED control signal 20 of the LED. This is shown on a different time scale than the three other graphs below. The graph is only intended to show the blinking of the LED during operation.

The second graph forms the suction unit control signal 22 of the suction unit, the third graph forms the brush control signal 24 of the cleaning roller 11 and the fourth graph of the Figure 3 shows the pump control signal 26 of the pump 8.
