Description

Gebiet der Erfindungfield of invention

The invention relates to a dishwasher, in particular a household dishwasher, and a method according to the preamble of the independent claims. The dishwasher includes a tub for holding dishes and a heater for heating process water. The dishwasher also includes a controller having a short cleaning program with a heating phase for cleaning the dishes.

Hintergrundbackground

In a one-person household, it can take several days for the dishwasher to be fully loaded with dishes so that the user initiates the cleaning program. With such a long period of time, soiled dishes lead to hygienic problems. In general, it can be seen that after about two days the microbial activity has progressed to such an extent that a clear odor develops and mold formation can slowly become visible. This problem can be partially solved by allowing the user to leave the dishwasher door open to allow air exchange with the dishwasher space takes place. However, this can also be forgotten or certain users always close the door after loading new dirty dishes.

WO 2006/082552 discloses a short cleaning program which has all or only a few steps of the main wash program and manages with a minimum of energy consumption. The cleaning water can be heated to a low temperature during the short cleaning program.

Darstellung der ErfindungPresentation of the invention

The object of the invention is to provide a suitable measure for improving hygiene in a dishwasher.

This task is fulfilled by the dishwasher according to the independent device claim. Accordingly, the dishwasher includes a tub for accommodating dishes, a heating device for heating process water and a controller having a short cleaning program with a heating phase for cleaning the dishes. The controller is designed not to replace the process water during the entire short cleaning program and to heat the process water during the heating phase by means of the heating device. The controller is designed to at least partially heat the process water to at least 35° C. during the heating phase.

A program is a self-contained unit of a sequence of instructions. In a dishwasher, a program is triggered in particular by the user. A program is therefore not a phase of a longer and higher-level program. Before and after the program has been carried out, the dishwasher is normally idle.

The feature "not to replace the process water" basically means that as soon as process water is drained from the process water cycle, no new process water may be added to the process water cycle. If there is a deviation from this in small amounts of water, the feature is still fulfilled.

The heating phase corresponds to the phase during which the heating device is activated. It is part of the short cleaning program.

This short cleaning program can improve hygiene in the dishwasher. Without having to go through a comprehensive cleaning program, the dishes can be roughly washed with heated water from time to time, so that most of the dirt can be removed with relatively little energy expenditure. The user can carry out this program, for example, at intervals of two to three days, with the dishes remaining in the tub after the end of the short cleaning program. The user only carries out the comprehensive, energy-intensive cleaning program when the dishwasher is fully loaded with dishes. Heating the process water also makes it possible to loosen more stubborn dirt from the dishes.

The process water is not replaced during the short cleaning program. This is a so-called one-bath process.

There is no subsequent rinsing phase with fresh process water in the short cleaning program. The dirt on the dishes can therefore not be completely removed. This is also not necessary, especially since the short cleaning program only serves to remove the coarse dirt from the dishes in order to prevent odors from forming in the tub as far as possible. The short cleaning program is more energy-efficient than the comprehensive cleaning program.

The controller is designed to the process water in the heating phase at least partially to at least 35 ° C, in particular at least 45 ° C, in particular at least 50°C. The higher the temperature selected, the easier it is to remove grease from the dishes. As a result, the formation of odors and mold can be avoided even better.

Furthermore, the short cleaning program can have a single heating phase. This means that the heating device is only switched on and off once during the short cleaning program. Brief interruptions are possible. As a result, the process water is heated with as little energy as possible.

In a preferred embodiment, the controller can be designed in such a way that a temperature of the process water is increased monotonically, in particular strictly monotonically, during the heating phase.

Advantageously, the controller can be designed to add cleaning agents to the process water in the short cleaning program. This allows the dirt on the dishes to be removed even better.

Furthermore, the short cleaning program can have an operating length of a maximum of 20 minutes, in particular a maximum of 15 minutes, in particular a maximum of 10 minutes, and/or the controller can be designed to switch the heating device on in the short cleaning program for at least 5 minutes, in particular at least 7 minutes, and/or or to operate for a maximum of 10 minutes, in particular a maximum of 8 minutes. Due to the short operating time and the short operation of the heating device, the short cleaning program consumes relatively little energy.

In a preferred embodiment, the dishwasher can have a fresh water supply, with the controller being designed in such a way that the fresh water supply is open during a single time segment in the short cleaning program, in particular at the beginning of the short cleaning program.

Advantageously, the dishwasher can have a door with a door opener, the controller is designed to push open the door immediately or indirectly after the end of the heating phase by means of the door opener, and/or wherein the controller is designed to clean only one floor area in the short cleaning program.

If only the bottom area of the dishwasher is cleaned in the short cleaning program, the dishes are not sprayed with spray arms. It is assumed that most of the dirt falls off the dishes by itself and ends up on the floor. It is therefore sufficient to clean the floor area in order to prevent the formation of odors and mold as much as possible.

Furthermore, the controller can be configured to output a recommendation for starting the short cleaning program via an output device depending on a number of registered door openings, a measured length of time since the last operation of a dishwashing program, in particular the short cleaning program, and/or an odor level detected by means of an odor sensor system . For example, the user is informed via a visual display that he should carry out the short cleaning program. Optionally, it is also possible for the short cleaning program to be started automatically by the control.

In a special embodiment, the controller can have a main cleaning program in addition to the short cleaning program, which includes a main cleaning phase and a final-rinse phase. The controller is designed to replace the process water between the main cleaning phase and the final-rinse phase, and in particular to add final-rinse agent to the process water during the final-rinse phase.

Furthermore, the controller can be designed to dry in a last step in the short cleaning program using a drying device.

The object mentioned at the outset is also achieved by a method according to the independent method claim. Accordingly, it is a method for cleaning dishes in a dishwasher. The method includes a tub for accommodating the dishes, a heating device for heating process water and a controller having a short cleaning program for cleaning the dishes. The process water is not replaced during the entire short cleaning program and it is heated by the heating device during a heating phase. In the short cleaning program, the process water is at least partially heated to at least 35° during the heating phase.

In particular, the process water in the short cleaning program is at least partially heated to at least 45°C, in particular at least 50°C, during the heating phase.

In a preferred embodiment, the short cleaning program can have a single heating phase and/or a temperature of the process water being increased monotonically, in particular strictly monotonically, during the heating phase.

Furthermore, the short cleaning program can last a maximum of 20 minutes, in particular a maximum of 15 minutes, in particular a maximum of 10 minutes, and/or the heating device can be used in the short cleaning program for at least 5 minutes, in particular at least 7 minutes, and/or for a maximum of 10 minutes, in particular a maximum of 8 minutes operate.

Weg zur Ausführung der Erfindungway of carrying out the invention

The household dishwasher in 1 has in a known manner a vat 1 for receiving crockery. Various spraying means are arranged inside the tub 1, such as a lower spraying means 2 and a middle spraying means 3 in the form of spray arms and an upper spraying means 4, in order to spray or apply process water to the dishes. A circulation pump 5 is used to convey the process water via a circulation line from a bottom area 6 of the tub 1 to the spraying means 2, 3 and 4. A heater 7 is provided on the circulation line to heat the process water to a desired temperature.

The device also has a drain pump 8, with which process water that is no longer required can be pumped out of the bottom area 6 of the tub 1, and a fresh water supply 11, in order to supply fresh water to the domestic dishwasher.

The various actuators of the device, in particular the pumps 5 and 8 and the heating device 7, are controlled by a controller 9 of the device. An input means 10 is connected to the controller 9, via which the user can issue commands to the device and view its status. Furthermore, the household dishwasher can have an odor sensor system 12 for detecting an odor level inside the tub, and/or also a cleaning agent tank 13 in order to add cleaning agent to the process water.

The controller 9 has several programs that can be used to control the process sequences, For example, a main cleaning program, a water-saving, a dishwashing-friendly or an intensive cleaning program as well as the short-time program described below.

2 shows a short cleaning program to be understood as an example, according to which the controller 10 controls the components of the device. The upper diagram shows the process water temperature T and the lower diagram shows the process water volume M in the vat.
  • In a first phase of the short cleaning program, approximately during the first minute, the process water is fed to the tub via the fresh water supply 11 . The total amount of water is between 2.5 and 6 liters, for example.
  • Once the process water has finished being admitted, the controller 9 activates the heater 7 to heat the process water. At the same time, the pump 5 pumps the process water in the process water circuit so that the process water is guided past the heating device 7 on the one hand and the process water is sprayed onto the dishes by the spray means 2, 3, 4 on the other. At this point in time, cleaning agent can also be supplied to the process water from the cleaning agent tank 13 .
  • The process water is heated for approx. 8 to 10 minutes until a process water temperature of 50°C is reached. The process water temperature is increased monotonically or continuously.
  • Immediately after reaching the maximum temperature, the controller 9 activates the drain pump 8 to drain the process water from the tub.
  • After the process water has been completely drained, the dishwasher door is pushed open and the short cleaning program ends. Alternatively, the door could remain closed and that Dishes would be dried by means of a drying device.

In a special embodiment of the dishwasher, in which only the bottom area 6 but not the dishes is cleaned during the short cleaning program, the process water can only be guided through the lower spray means 2 at a low speed.
