Continuous monitoring and evaluation of the key production figures of the individual work stations, e.g. spinning stations of a textile machine, is a prerequisite for productive operation of the textile machine. The observation of the production key figures determined by suitable sensors, such as piecing reliability, number of yarn breaks, number of clearer cuts, efficiency or the like over a definable period of time encompassing the current operation, enables the machine operator to identify problematic jobs at an early stage so that appropriate countermeasures can be initiated which can be carried out, for example, by so-called service units, which can be moved along the work stations on the textile machine and carry out maintenance processes at the work stations automatically.

Die DE 199 30 714 A1 offenbart eine Textilmaschine mit einer Maschinensteuervorrichtung, einer Anzeigevorrichtung mit Lämpchen oder Dioden und einer Wartungsvorrichtung.the DE 199 30 714 A1 discloses a textile machine with a machine control device, a display device with lamps or diodes and a maintenance device.

From the EP 0 365 901 it is known to continuously record and statistically evaluate specific production key figures over a moving interval, as a result of which constantly updated mean values are available for evaluating the respective production. These mean values can be checked with regard to their deviations from reference values. exceed the Deviations from specified limit values are signaled so that appropriate maintenance work can be carried out.

It is essential for this to clearly identify the problematic job so that it can be identified quickly and countermeasures can be taken immediately. Known displays on displays of central control units require the displays to be constantly monitored by a machine operator in order to detect any signals that may be present. Signals displayed by the control unit in the absence of the machine operator remain undetected until the machine operator returns, which can lead to longer production downtimes at the affected work stations.

Proceeding from this, the invention is based on the object of providing a method for monitoring a textile machine with several work stations and a textile machine with several work stations, which enable fast detection and identification of those work stations whose production parameters exceed predetermined limit values.

The invention solves the problem by a textile machine with the features of claim 1 and a method for monitoring a textile machine with the features of claim 5. Advantageous developments of the textile machine are in the dependent claims 2 to 4, advantageous developments of the method in the dependent claims 6 indicated up to 8.

It is characteristic of the textile machine according to the invention that the display unit has several signal units arranged at the respective work stations and assigned to the individual work stations, which are designed in such a way that the result of the check of the at least one selected production key figure to be checked with regard to exceeding the assigned predetermined limit value by means of different light signals is displayed.

For the purposes of the present invention, a production indicator is a value that results from a predefinable or predetermined combination of at least two or more defined values, in particular values that are different from one another.

According to the invention, a signal unit is arranged at each work station, which displays the result of the check directly at the workplace. The signal unit is arranged in an area that is easily visible to the machine operator in such a way that it can also be clearly recognized from a distance, so that faulty work stations, i.e. those whose production figures exceed specified limit values, can also be identified from afar if the machine operator does not have a display of the display unit in view. Necessary maintenance work can thus be identified and initiated.

Due to the good recording of jobs requiring maintenance, necessary maintenance work can be triggered at short notice, so that a sufficiently high productivity can be guaranteed for the job to be maintained. Overall, high productivity of the textile machine can thus be maintained after poorly running or improperly functioning jobs can be adjusted at short notice.

The textile machine according to the invention also allows the signaling of an empty can containing a sliver for a spinning machine—from which a sliver is continuously fed to a spinning machine—with a sufficient advance warning time. Appropriate measures, such as requesting and providing a new can, can be initiated in good time by a machine operator, either manually or automatically. The change of a can is preferably to be acknowledged, in which case, for example, emptying of the can can be monitored via the detectable production of the work station. Can production key figures to be monitored can be, for example, the length of the sliver of the can in meters, the weight of the sliver or the diameter of the take-up bobbin, which particularly reliably enable timely signaling that the can needs to be replaced.

The signal units arranged at the work stations also make it possible to mark and identify those work stations on which matching product groups, for example the same yarns, are processed, as well as those work stations that are not assigned to any product groups.

The design of the signal units for signaling the results of the checking of the monitoring results can in principle be carried out by the signal units in any way. According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, however, the signal unit is designed to display the result of the check by means of light signals of different brightness and/or colors.

If the results are displayed by means of light signals of different brightness, it is provided, for example, that work areas working within the framework of the specified production indicators are identified by signal units that are switched off or illuminated with low intensity, whereas problematic work areas are identified by signal units illuminated with high intensity. In a particularly advantageous manner, this refinement of the invention enables a machine operator to identify problem-prone jobs quickly. Necessary maintenance work can thus be initiated at short notice by the machine operator.

As an alternative or in addition to displaying the productivity of the work stations using signal units of different brightness, these can also be designed to display the results of the check in color. This configuration enables a machine operator to immediately detect work areas requiring maintenance in a particularly advantageous manner. For example, jobs that work within the specified framework can be identified by a signal unit displaying a green light signal. Work areas that require maintenance or work incorrectly can be identified by a different color, e.g. red. This contrast of the signal units makes it easier for a machine operator to detect - especially from a distance - those work stations whose production figures are outside the specified limit values.

As an alternative or in addition to displaying the productivity of the work stations using signal units of different brightness and/or color, a further development of the invention provides for the signal units to be designed to display the result of the check using a continuous light and a flashing light. This refinement of the invention improves the ability to remotely identify work sites requiring maintenance in an additional manner. The frequency of the flashing light can be adapted to the need for maintenance. Work sites that require priority maintenance can be identified by a signal light that flashes at a high frequency, with work sites that require maintenance that have a lower priority being identified by a flashing light that has a low frequency. The need for maintenance of the individual work stations is thus displayed to a machine operator in a particularly advantageous manner.

The arrangement of the signal units at the work sites is such that they can be easily recognized by a maintenance worker from afar. According to the invention, the signal units are arranged at the work sites and the light signals are generated at the signal units in such a way that they can be used for automatic identification and/or alignment of a service unit having an optical detection device with respect to the work sites.

The signal unit enables a service unit to automatically record work areas that require maintenance. In addition or as an alternative, the signal units are designed in such a way that the service unit, which carries out maintenance work in an automated manner, is aligned with the work site via the signal units. For this purpose, the signal unit, e.g. Additional alignment elements for positioning the service units relative to the work site can thus be dispensed with.

The design of the signal units is basically freely selectable. According to a development of the invention, it is provided that the signal units have an LED display. The use of LED displays is characterized by their good visibility from a distance. In addition, LED displays are particularly low-maintenance and energy-efficient.

It is characteristic of the method according to the invention that the display unit has several signal units assigned to the individual work stations, which are arranged at the respective work stations and on which the result of the check is displayed by means of different light signals. According to the invention, a signal unit is arranged at each work station and/or the textile machine control unit, which indicates the result of the check directly for each work station. The signal unit is arranged in an area that is easily visible to the machine operator in such a way that he can also clearly see from a distance when individual work stations require maintenance. In the case of the arrangement of the signal unit at which jobs can error-prone jobs, that is, those whose production figures exceed specified limits, identified particularly easily from afar and necessary maintenance work in the ways are guided.

Due to the good recording of jobs requiring maintenance, necessary maintenance work can be triggered at short notice, so that high productivity can be guaranteed for the job to be maintained. Overall, high productivity of the textile machine can thus be maintained after poorly running or improperly functioning jobs can be adjusted at short notice.

By means of the method according to the invention it is also possible to indicate in good time that a can is about to run empty, so that the organization or provision of a new, full can can be initiated in good time. The time window for the advance warning on the signal unit can be set by a machine operator on the textile machine control unit. After changing the pot, this is acknowledged so that the corresponding counter is restarted. The emptying of the can can be monitored, for example, via the recordable production of the work station, determined in meters or kilograms, or via the diameter of the pay-off spool. For can monitoring, it can be provided, for example, that the signal unit lights up continuously when the can content is sufficient and changes to flashing when a specified limit value is reached.

The optical output of the results of the check by the signal unit can in principle take place in any way, for example by means of a continuous light and a flashing light with different flashing frequencies. According to an advantageous development of the invention, it is provided that the result of the check is displayed using light signals of different brightness and/or color. A colored display is characterized by its particularly good readability by a machine operator. For example, problematic jobs can be marked with a red light and properly working jobs with a green light, which the machine operator can see particularly well from a distance. Particularly serious faults can also be indicated by a red flashing light.

According to a further development of the invention, it is also provided that work sites with the same product groups are identified by means of the light signals. In the case of the use of colored light signals, which is advantageously provided, the work stations that process the same product groups can be marked with correspondingly colored light signals will. This also enables jobs that are not assigned to any product group to be entered quickly.

The processing of the key production figures determined at the work stations and their comparison with predeterminable reference values can in principle take place in any desired manner. According to a further embodiment of the invention, however, it is provided that the production indicators to be checked are determined from an average of at least two or more individual production indicators determined over a selectable period of time, in particular at selectable intervals or at selectable times. The mean value of individual production key figures, such as the number of clearer cuts or yarn breaks or the efficiency, i.e. what percentage of the possible machine running time is achieved, or the piecing reliability, i.e. the ratio of the number of successful piecings to the number of piecing attempts, is constantly updated over a defined period of time. If the mean value exceeds a definable limit value, this is displayed on the signal unit. The mean value is preferably determined from the arithmetic, geometric or harmonic mean value or from a combination of at least two of these mean values. This refinement of the invention thus enables early detection of a deteriorating production process at the work stations.

Fig. 1
An embodiment of the invention is explained below with reference to a figure. In the drawing shows:
1
in a side view a schematic representation of a spinning machine with several spinning positions.

In 1 is shown in a schematic representation of an embodiment of a designed as a spinning machine 1 textile machine with a plurality of adjacently arranged spinning positions 2, which form the individual work stations of the textile machine. The spinning stations 2 are controlled and monitored via a central textile machine control unit 3. An input unit, not shown here, on the textile machine control unit 3 allows a machine operator to enter process parameters and query production key figures, among other things. To signal maintenance-requiring spinning positions 2 a connected to the textile machine control unit 3 signal unit 4 is arranged at each spinning position 2, which has a colored Light signal indicates the operating status of the spinning position 2. Spinning positions 2 working within the specified limit values are identified by a green light signal. Spinning positions 2 to be serviced are marked with a continuous red light. The signal units 4 are arranged in such a way that spinning positions 2 requiring maintenance can be detected both remotely by a machine operator and also by an automatically operating service unit that can be moved along the spinning positions 2 and is not shown here.

A spinning station 2 requiring maintenance is displayed according to the settings made on the textile machine control unit 3 . After selecting one or more production key figures from a given set, e.g. the efficiency, an observation period is defined.

In the context of the present invention, the efficiency preferably corresponds to a ratio of actual production time, which is a time in which production actually took place, to a target production time, which is a time in which production could take place. In the present preferred embodiment, "actually produced" more preferably means that the corresponding spinning station 2 has spun yarn, whereas "could be produced" describes a state in which the spinning station is in a productive state but is not spinning yarn. The latter can be the case, for example, when the spinning station is in a waiting state in which the spinning station 2 is waiting for something, such as the feeding of a new sliver can, the changing of a finished package, the removal of a blockage by the operator, or the like. waits. To calculate the efficiency, a common point in time can be specified as a reference point for both the actual production time and the target production time, such as the beginning of the observation period and a point in time at the start of the shift. If, purely as an example, a spinning position 2 was in a productive state for 60 minutes from the start of the shift, but has only produced 53 minutes of this since the start of the shift, the efficiency of spinning position 2 for the period under consideration is approx. 88.3%.

According to a further preferred embodiment, a definable production group consisting of a predeterminable number of spinning positions 2 or even the spinning machine comprising all spinning positions 2 with regard to a selected production indicator such as e.g. the useful effect. In this preferred embodiment, a distinction is made between an average efficiency and a current efficiency. The average efficiency of a number of spinning positions 2 combined into a production group (which can also be the spinning machine) preferably results from a sum of the actual production times of these spinning positions 2 divided by a sum of the target production times of these spinning positions 2. A current efficiency, on the other hand, is defined an instantaneous value which, based on this number of spinning positions 2, indicates how many spinning positions 2 are currently producing or spinning a yarn. For example, the production group can include 600 spinning positions 2, of which 578 spinning positions 2 are currently producing or spinning a yarn. This results in the current efficiency of approx. 96.3%. The average efficiency is particularly suitable for evaluating and assessing production quality, while the current efficiency can be used to analyze a trend and identify any problems at an early stage.

According to an alternative preferred exemplary embodiment, instead of the time, the quantity produced, length, weight or another suitable parameter can be used as the basis for calculation. In particular, focusing on the quantity, the length or the weight proves to be advantageous when there is no linear relationship between a production time and a production quantity.

In the preferred exemplary embodiment, the textile machine control unit 3 records the efficiency of all spinning positions 2 after the determination of the observation period at predetermined intervals, for example every 2 minutes, and stores these in a memory of the textile machine control unit 3 . After the specified observation period of 4 hours, for example, 120 measurements are available. The textile machine control unit 3 now determines for the first time the mean value of the useful effect over the observation period. From then on, the average is determined with each new reading, i.e. every 2 minutes over the last 4 hours. I.e. the mean value is constantly updated so that the efficiency for each spinning position 2 over the last 4 hours is permanently available.

If the average efficiency of a spinning position 2 falls below a previously defined lower limit value, this spinning position 2 is marked as requiring maintenance by a corresponding light signal on the signaling unit 4 . This spinning station 2 can be quickly identified remotely by a machine operator, so that appropriate countermeasures can be initiated immediately. After the disturbance has been eliminated, the average efficiency increases again and after the fixed lower limit value has been exceeded, this spinning station becomes 2 again flagged as properly working by the textile machine control unit 3. As an alternative or in addition to recording the useful effect, other key production figures can also be used for monitoring. This can be, for example, the number of clearer cuts or yarn breaks as well as the piecing reliability.
