Abstract

L'invention concerne divers procédés d'excitation de dispositifs d'affichage électro-optiques, de manière à réduire des artéfacts visibles. De tels procédés consistent à exciter un dispositif d'affichage électro-optique ayant une pluralité de pixels d'affichage et commandé par un organe de commande d'affichage, l'organe de commande d'affichage étant associé à un hôte pour fournir des instructions opérationnelles à l'organe de commande d'affichage, le procédé peut consister à mettre à jour le dispositif d'affichage avec une première image, mettre à jour le dispositif d'affichage avec une seconde image à la suite de la première image, traiter des données d'image associées à la première image et à la seconde image pour identifier des pixels d'affichage avec des artéfacts de bord et générer des données d'image associées aux pixels identifiés, stocker les pixels associés à des données d'image avec des artéfacts de bord au niveau d'un emplacement de mémoire et initier une forme d'onde pour effacer les artéfacts de bord.
