Definitions

  • the invention relates generally to the field of pillows, such as support pillows, sleeping pillows, neck pillows, neck support pillows or the like.
  • the invention relates to a support pillow for supporting a head and/or neck of a user of the support pillow.
  • a variety of different support pillows have been developed over the past few decades. These can differ, for example, with regard to a geometry, a dimension, a filling material, a thickness and/or a hardness.
  • Embodiments of the present invention advantageously allow the support pillow according to the invention to be adapted by the user himself.
  • the support pillow according to the invention is also characterized by a particularly comfortable and soft surface.
  • the invention is defined by the features of claim 1.
  • the support pillow for supporting a user's head and/or neck.
  • the support pillow can in particular be designed as a sleeping pillow, a neck pillow and/or a neck support pillow.
  • the support pillow has an at least partially viscoelastic filling material, an inner cover which is at least partially filled with the filling material and encloses the filling material, and an outer cover which encloses the inner cover.
  • the inner cover has an opening through which the user can fill additional filling material into the inner cover and/or at least part of the filling material can be removed from the inner cover, so that a filling volume, a thickness, a dimension and/or a hardness of the support pillow can be customized by the user.
  • the support cushion can have any geometry, such as a cube-shaped, a cubic, a cuboid, a cylindrical, a conical, and/or a spherical geometry.
  • the at least partially viscoelastic filling material can denote a filling material which consists at least partially of viscoelastic material and/or of material with viscoelastic material properties.
  • the filling material can therefore be a solid.
  • the viscoelastic filling material can in particular have a viscoelastic foam and/or a viscoelastic foam.
  • the filling material also contains other components may have, which do not necessarily have viscoelastic material properties.
  • the inner cover can define an inner volume of the support pillow, which is at least partially filled with the filling material. At the same time, the inner volume of the support pillow can be an inner volume of the inner cover, which can be filled with the filling material.
  • the inner cover can be sack-shaped or designed in any other way.
  • Additional filling material for example in addition to a filling material already located in the inner volume, can advantageously be introduced into the inner volume of the inner cover and/or the support pillow via the opening of the inner cover.
  • filling material located in the inner volume can be at least partially removed from the inner volume of the inner cover and/or from the support pillow via the opening. This allows the user to adapt the support pillow individually to his needs by removing filling material and/or adding filling material.
  • the user can adjust a thickness, a height, a filling volume, a dimension, a hardness, a degree of hardness, a weight and/or a total volume of the support pillow in this way, in particular without having to make further changes and/or adjustments to the support pillow, such as such as unraveling or sewing up a seam of the inner cover, would be required.
  • a manufacturer of the support pillow can offer the support pillow in a variant and at the same time cover the needs of all possible users. This, in turn, may allow the support pillow to be produced and marketed cost-effectively.
  • the outer cover can also enclose the inner cover and the filling material arranged in the inner cover.
  • the external reference to this have an opening through which the inner cover at least partially filled with the filling material can be introduced into the outer cover.
  • the opening of the outer cover can be reversibly closable, for example with a zip fastener, a Velcro fastener, an adhesive fastener, a hook fastener, a button fastener and/or a snap fastener.
  • the inner cover is at least partially air-permeable and/or breathable.
  • the outer cover is at least partially air-permeable and/or breathable.
  • the opening of the inner cover is a closable opening, in particular a reversibly closable and/or reclosable opening. This can allow a user to adjust the support pillow and/or the filling material multiple times and without wear by removing and/or adding filling material.
  • the support cushion has a closure device for reversibly closing the opening of the inner cover, the closure device having a zipper, a button closure, a snap fastener, a Velcro fastener, a hook fastener and/or an adhesive fastener.

  • the support pillow is essentially cuboid, with the inner cover and/or the support pillow having two essentially parallel long sides and two essentially parallel narrow sides has, which each run transversely to the long sides.
  • the narrow sides are each shorter than the long sides, with the opening of the inner cover being formed on at least one of the narrow sides of the inner cover.
  • a user can position his head on the support pillow in such a way that his neck runs essentially parallel to the narrow sides of the support pillow.
  • By arranging the opening on one of the narrow sides it can thus be ensured that the user does not feel the opening and/or a closing device of the opening. Overall, the user's well-being can be increased during use of the support cushion.
  • the inner cover has two openings.
  • the two openings can be arranged on two opposite narrow sides of the inner cover. This can allow a user to fill in additional filling material on the two opposite narrow sides and/or to remove filling material. It should also be mentioned at this point that alternatively or in addition to the opening on the narrow side, the opening and/or another opening can be arranged on at least one or both long sides.

  • the honeycomb recesses can extend at least essentially over the entire thickness of the upper layer, i.e. from the outside to the inner layer or close to it, in order to achieve optimal climate control with regard to the exchange of air and moisture between the two sides of the cover fabric to allow.
  • the depth of the honeycomb recess increases the softness of the upper layer made of 3D spacer fabric, which means that an improved feel can be obtained.
  • the cover material and/or the outer cover can also be constructed in three layers.
  • the cover fabric may be a middle layer knitted with the top layer with a monofilament yarn as a filler.
  • the monofilament yarn can be formed from polyester, but other synthetic fibers such as fibers formed from polyamide can also be used for this purpose.
