Definitions

  • the invention relates to a method for partially moistening a replaceable, flat mop, in which the mop is fixed to a mop holder and, fixed to the mop holder, is inserted by means of a mop handle into a moistening trough of a moistening device filled with a cleaning liquid.
  • the invention relates to a cleaning device for carrying out the method with the mop, which can be fixed to a mop holder and, fixed to the mop holder, can be inserted into a moistening trough of a moistening device by means of a mop handle, the moistening trough having a support device that supports the mop during the moistening process and is connected to a dosing device which fills the moistening trough with a quantity of cleaning liquid defined for each moistening process, which is held ready in a storage container assigned to the moistening trough.
  • Such a method and such cleaning devices are for example from WO 2018 091 357 A2 known.
  • the mops are usually only used once and then cleaned in another way, for example in a washing machine.
  • the mop is replaced with each wiping process and the dirty mops do not come into contact with the cleaning liquid. Accordingly, the dirt picked up during previous wiping processes is not passed on to the fresh mops via the cleaning liquid during later wiping processes and distributed again on the surface to be cleaned. This achieves a very good cleaning result.
  • Such cleaning devices are therefore used precisely in professional applications such as, for example, in hospitals, in which the highest demands are placed on hygiene.
  • the floor remains damp and must either be dried in a second operation or it must be allowed to dry through natural ventilation and evaporation.
  • the latter is not an alternative, especially in rooms that are used frequently. Due to the moisture of the cleaned surface, there is a risk of slipping on the one hand, and on the other hand the cleaned surface will be directly soiled again if used in a damp state.
  • the invention based on a method of the type mentioned at the outset, proposes that the mop be inserted into the cleaning liquid at an angle to the liquid level of the cleaning liquid, so that the front edge area of the cleaning mop in the direction of insertion is immersed in the cleaning liquid, while the Introduction direction rear edge region of the mop remains above the liquid level of the cleaning liquid.
  • the invention based on a cleaning device of the type mentioned at the outset, proposes that means be provided which are suitable for aligning the mop in such a way that when the mop is inserted into the moistening trough, only the edge region at the front in the direction of insertion gets into the cleaning liquid immersed, while the rear edge region in the direction of insertion remains above the liquid level.
  • a preferred embodiment provides that the support device of the moistening trough serves as a means for alignment, with the support device being inclined relative to the horizontal line defined by the liquid level of the cleaning liquid that is filled in.
  • a development of the invention provides that, alternatively or cumulatively, a locking device between a mop adapter and the mop handle serves as a means for aligning the mop, such that the mop can only be inserted into the moistening tub at an angle.
  • This measure also ensures that the cleaning mop is inserted into the moistening trough at an angle and is therefore only partially moistened according to the invention.
  • the support base of the moistening trough tapers in a trapezoidal manner in the direction of insertion.
  • the insertion direction of the mop is clearly determined by this measure.
  • Another advantage is that the front edge area of the mop is narrower than the rear edge area. Consequently, no wet streaks can remain on the outside of the mop on the surface to be cleaned during the wiping process, because the dry rear edge area is wider than the front wet edge area.
  • a development of the invention provides that the mops have a moistening zone and a drying zone.
  • the zones are characterized by special properties with regard to their purpose.
  • the material and the structure of the mop in the moistening zone are therefore designed to absorb the cleaning liquid from the moistening trough as well as possible and release it back to the floor.
  • the material and the structure of the cleaning mop in the drying zone must be designed in such a way that it absorbs and holds the cleaning liquid that is distributed across the surface, including the coarser dirt particles it contains.
  • the cleaning mops have a cleaning zone located between the moistening zone and the drying zone.
  • the additional cleaning zone must be designed in such a way that it is suitable for loosening the moistened dirt. The structure is therefore to be interpreted rather coarser and harder in the sense of a brush. In the cleaning zone, no cleaning liquid has to be dispensed or taken up.
  • the fibers or the filament of the moistening zone of the cleaning mop preferably have a fiber thickness of 0.5 to 10 dtex. Fibers formed in this way or a filament formed in this way are well suited for quickly absorbing the cleaning agent from the moistening tub and also again delivered to the surface to be cleaned. Dense fiber structures made of fine to medium-sized synthetic fibers are particularly suitable for this, in particular polyester, polyamide, polyacrylic, modacrylic, and polypropylene. The fibers in the moistening zone preferably have different fiber thicknesses from the range mentioned above.
  • the fibers or the filament have from 0.2 to 5 dtex. Fine to very fine fibers formed in this way are particularly well suited to absorbing the thin film of cleaning fluid, including the dirt dissolved in it, and thus drying the surface to be cleaned.
  • the necessary dense fiber structures can best be produced from fine to very fine synthetic fibers such as polyester and/or polyamide, viscose, lyocell or cotton.
  • the cleaning zone preferably has fibers with a fiber thickness of 3.3 to 400 dtex.
  • a cleaning device according to the invention is denoted by reference numeral 1 .
  • the cleaning device 1 has a moistening trough 2 .
  • a reservoir 3 is plugged into the humidification trough 2 .
  • a cleaning liquid 4 is located in the reservoir 3 .
  • the cleaning liquid 4 in the humidification trough 2 is kept at a constant, adjustable level by means of a metering device 5 .
  • the dosing device 5 can, for example, work according to the bird bath principle, with a valve device or the like.
  • the moistening trough 2 has a support base 2a which runs inclined towards the surface of the cleaning liquid 4 in the moistening trough 2 .
  • the cleaning device 1 includes a replaceable mop 6 which can be fixed to a mop holder 7 .
  • the mop holder 7 has a mop handle 7a and a mop adapter 7b.
  • the mop 6 fixed to the mop holder 7 is guided into the moistening trough 2 . Due to the inclination of the support base 2a, only the front edge area of the cleaning mop 6 is immersed in the cleaning liquid 4 . The rest of the mop 6 remains dry.
  • FIG 3 the structure of a mop 6 according to the invention is shown in one exemplary embodiment.
  • the mop 6 is divided into zones, a moistening zone 8 at the front in the wiping direction F, a central cleaning zone 9 and a rear drying zone 10.
  • the mop 6 is trapezoidal in shape, so that it tapers in the wiping direction F towards the front. Accordingly, the moistening zone 8 is narrower than the cleaning zone 9, and the cleaning zone 9 is narrower than the drying zone 10.
  • a moistening trough not shown here, has a shape adapted to it, so that the mop 6 can only be guided into the moistening trough 2 in the correct direction of insertion. With a correspondingly set cleaning liquid level, only the moistening zone 8 is immersed in the cleaning liquid 4 .
  • the mop 6 is now guided in the wiping direction F over the floor.
  • the floor to be cleaned is moistened and the dirt loosened by the moistening zone 8 at the front.
  • the cleaning zone 9 behind the moistening zone 8 then loosens the remaining stubborn dirt from the floor.
  • the large and wide drying zone 10 absorbs the liquid remaining on the floor and the loosened dirt.
  • the mop 6 is then removed from the mop holder 7 and a new, fresh mop 6 is fixed to the mop holder 7 for the next wiping process.
  • the moistening zone 8 consists of a plush fabricated using the double plush method, made of textured polyester filament yarn with a mixture of 50% fine fibers of 3.5 dtex and 50% fine fibers of 0.5 dtex.
  • the cleaning zone 9 consists of a plush fabricated from filament yarn with a mixture of 75% textured 8 dtex polyester filament and 25% polyamide filament with a fiber fineness of 40 dtex.
  • the drying zone 10 consists of a plush made of Lyocell fiber yarn mixed with polyester microfiber filaments with a fiber fineness of 0.5 dtex, produced using the double plush method.
