Definitions
- the present invention relates to the field of epilating devices or epilators and more particularly epilating heads for faces and sensitive areas, mounted on an epilator.
- An electric epilator generally comprises tweezers arranged on a rotating roller, the tweezers being brought mechanically during the rotation of the roller to close and open periodically so as to squeeze the hairs near the skin to pull them out and then evacuate. hairs pulled out.
- the depilation device described comprises pulling pliers formed by several rows of movable blades in translation bearing against fixed support zones facing each other, all the movable blades in a row being carried by a rotating cylinder.
- the movable blades are linked to lugs which, when the rotary cylinder is driven in rotation about a central axis, cooperate with a cam comprising grooves made on the periphery of a fixed central shaft.
- the movement of the movable blades makes it possible to simultaneously pinch several hairs along the entire length of the row.
- this device is not suitable for use on all parts of the body, in particular on a face or on sensitive areas, which are more difficult to access and / or thinner.
- the documents FR 2 858 528 and FR 2 923 685 also describe epilating heads for a depilatory device with stripping tongs driven by an electric motor comprising a roller, on the periphery of which are arranged rows of stripping tongs, formed of blades actuated by the rotation of the roller. Likewise, these devices do not allow access to sensitive areas or very localized hair removal.
- An object of the invention is to remedy at least in part the aforementioned drawbacks and to provide an epilating head for a hair removal device with pliers of simplified structure which can be assembled in an automated manner, and allowing localized use on all areas to be waxed, even the most difficult to access or the smallest.
- each stripping row comprises a single stripping clamp itself having a single stripping blade combined with the fact that the through holes of two adjacent bars are offset longitudinally and have an overlap is particularly advantageous since this makes it possible to providing an epilation head having a narrow epilation circumferential area, thereby enabling the user to achieve precise epilation.
- the support elements of two adjacent bars are longitudinally on the same side of the corresponding through orifices.
- An overlap width is defined as the shortest distance in the longitudinal direction between a support element of a bar and an element opposite to a support element of an adjacent bar, and preferably a ratio between the width of overlap and the opening width is less than 0.5, preferably approximately equal to 0.35.
- the support elements of two adjacent bars are longitudinally on opposite sides of the corresponding through orifices.
- An overlap width is defined between the bearing elements of two adjacent bars, and preferably a ratio between the overlap width and the opening width is less than 0.5, preferably approximately equal to 0.35.
- the epilation head described above may also have a width of the circumferential epilation zone of between 0.5 mm and 1.5 mm, preferably between 0.7 mm and 1 mm, more preferably of the order of 0.8 mm.
- the epilator head may further comprise a support configured to hold the roller and comprising two side flanges, the support being mounted removably with respect to the housing containing the electric motor.
- the lateral flanges have a plunging shape in the direction of the longitudinal axis, partially covering the roller, so as to conform to a zone of skin having bristles.
- a depilatory device comprising an epilating head as described above, and a housing containing an electric motor, the housing being configured to be held in one hand during use.
- the housing and the epilator head form a sealed assembly, so that the epilator can be used in a humid environment.
- the figures 1 to 5 illustrate a rotary roller 1 of an epilator head for an electric epilator according to the present invention.
- the rotary roller 1 is configured to be driven in rotation by an electric motor connected to a gear train (not shown), providing the rotary movement to the rotary roller of the epilation head about a longitudinal axis XX shown in the figure 3 , for example by means of a pinion 30 and a toothed wheel 33.
- the longitudinal axis XX defines a longitudinal direction of the roller.
- the electric depilatory device generally comprises a hollow housing preferably made of plastic material and so as to be able to be held in one hand and enclosing the electric motor and the gear train.
- the housing is substantially elongated and extends in a direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of the roller.
- the housing and the epilating head form a sealed assembly, so that the electric epilator can be used in a humid environment, for example in a shower, without presenting any risk to a user of the appliance. .
- the epilation head includes a support 46 configured to hold the roller 1.
- the support 46 comprises side flanges (47,48) which are configured to hold the roller 1.
- the support 46 can be provided with fixing means on an upper part of the housing of the epilator or be removably mounted on the housing.
- the lateral flanges (47,48) define in their upper part an epilation window centered with respect to the rotary roller 1, revealing the tear-off pliers of the rotary roller 1.
- the lateral flanges (47,48) preferably have a plunging shape in the direction of the longitudinal axis, partially covering the roller 1, so as to conform to an area of skin having bristles. This plunging shape makes it possible in particular to attract the skin to which the epilation head is applied, by a suction effect for example, so that the pulling pliers are in contact with the skin and can pinch the shortest hairs.
- side flanges (47,48) form shoulder covers also allowing comfortable support on sensitive areas.
- the figure 2 illustrates a perspective view of the rotating roller 1, on which a single bar 17 is mounted.
- the rotary roller 1 comprises several stripping rows (2,2 ') arranged at the periphery of a cage 10.
- the rotary roller 1 comprises six stripping rows uniformly distributed over its circumference. For reasons of clarity of the drawings, all of the tear-off rows assembled on the cage 10 have not been shown on the drawings. figures 2 to 5 .
- the pulling rows 2 each comprise a single pulling clamp 29 movably mounted on the cage 10.
- Each pulling clamp 29 comprises a single pulling blade 5.
- a longitudinal movement back and forth of the stripping blades 5 distributed over the circumference of the roller 1 defines an active circumferential zone, along which hair removal can take place.
- the cage 10 has a substantially hollow cylindrical shape.
- the cage 10 has an interior surface preferably forming a cylinder of revolution configured to receive a central shaft 12, and an exterior surface typically having the shape of a regular right prism.
- the outer surface has the shape of a prism with a hexagonal base, the six sides of which are extended by rectangular faces.
- the rectangular face 25, corresponding to the tear-off row 2 has two lateral ridges parallel to each other, orthogonal to one side 20 and forming heights of the prism. Each edge is delimited by a partition 21, extending over the outer surface of the cage, and substantially orthogonal to the rectangular face 25.
- the partition 21 comprises a re-entrant rim 22 oriented towards the rectangular face 25, so as to define a housing for the lifting blade 5 of the corresponding lifting row 2.
- each edge forming a height of the prism is delimited by two partitions forming an angle of approximately 60 ° and substantially orthogonal to two adjacent rectangular faces, that is to say arranged successively on the circumference of the roller.
- the term “outward” will be understood to mean an orientation towards the outside of the cylinder, as opposed to “inward”, denoting an orientation towards the central longitudinal axis X-X of the cylinder.
- the term “radial” part will be understood to mean a part extending radially over a part of the roller 1, that is to say orthogonally to the longitudinal axis, as opposed to a “longitudinal” part, extending in the longitudinal direction. .
- Two adjacent parts will be understood to mean parts arranged successively along the circumference of the roller, independently of any contact between the parts.
- a through opening 24 of oblong shape is made in the rectangular face 25, so that a lower part of the pulling clamp 29 (shown in figure 4 ) of the corresponding tear-off row 2 can pass through the cage 10 in the direction of the central shaft 12.
- An arrangement of the elements during assembly will appear more clearly with regard to the exploded view of the roller 1 shown in FIG. figure 5 .
- the cage 10 is made of a plastic material, for example acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS), typically by an injection technique.
- ABS acrylonitrile butadiene styrene
- the cage 10 is secured, on a first lateral face, typically on a hexagonal base, to the pinion 30 and is preferably made in one piece with the latter by the same injection operation for example.
- the pinion 30 comprises teeth at its periphery, configured to transmit a rotational movement.
- the ridges of the cage 10 extend at the level of a second lateral face, opposite the pinion 30, by rods 31 projecting outwardly from the cylinder relative to the second lateral face.
- the rods 31 are substantially cylindrical, and each intended to fit into corresponding orifices 32 and included in the toothed wheel 33 in a step of assembling the rotary roller 1.
- the figure 4 illustrates a side view of the cage 10, showing the pinion 30, the central shaft 12, and a cross section of the stripper blade 5 of the stripper 29 assembled on the cage 10.
- the cross section of the stripping blade 5 is planar and has substantially a T-shape.
- a free end of the stripping blade 5 is configured to be brought into contact with a bearing surface, located close to it. 'a through orifice 18 of a bar 17 (shown figure 5 ) corresponding to tear row 2, during use to pinch a hair.
- the figure 7 illustrates the stripper 29 mounted on a cam groove.
- the stripper 29 comprises a base formed of a spacer 27, on which the stripper blade 5 is mounted.
- the stripping blade 5 is preferably inclined in the direction of the bearing surface, for example at an angle of approximately 9 ° with respect to a vertical plane orthogonal to the spacer 27.
- the fact that the blade of tearing 5 is inclined in the direction of the bearing surface makes it possible to guarantee that the end of the blade comes to rest correctly on the bearing surface, in order to maximize the clamping.
- the pulling pliers 29 further comprises a second blade or guide blade 6, fixed at its lower part on the spacer 27.
- the guide blade 6 is however not configured to pull hair, and therefore is not an active part of the stripper 29.
- the stripper blade 5 and the guide blade 6 can be formed integrally with the 'spacer 27.
- the bar 17 in this case comprises a blind orifice 28 intended to receive the free end of the guide blade 6, so as to confine the guide blade 6 inside the epilation head.
- the guide blade 6 is useful for balancing the forces for the operation of the pulling clamp 29.
- the tear-off blade 5, the guide blade 6 and the spacer 27 are produced by cutting and bending a steel sheet, for example a sheet with a thickness of approximately 0.3 mm.
- the spacer 27 comprises longitudinal edges 34 projecting outwardly, that is to say on the same side as the tear-off blade 5 with respect to the spacer 27, so as to be able to fit into the housing defined on the cage 10, being retained by the flanges 22.
- the spacer 27 comprises in its lower part a lug 16.
- the lug 16 is formed in a material different from that of the tear-off blade 5 and / or of the guide blade 6, the material being chosen. to optimize sliding in the cam groove. We will therefore choose for example a material having a low coefficient of friction.
- the lug 16 is fixed offset from the center of the base formed by the spacer 27, for example by riveting, in order to compensate for an imbalance due to the different shapes of the stripping blade 5 and of the guide blade 6 It protrudes inwardly, on the side opposite to the stripper blade 5 with respect to the spacer 27, so that when the stripper 29 is movably mounted on the cage 10 by insertion from the side 20, the lug 16 fits into the opening 24 of the rectangular face 25, oriented in the direction of the central shaft 12.
- the lug 16 is configured to travel, while being guided by the cage 10, a groove of a cam 15 of the central shaft 12 during use of the apparatus.
- the cross section of the stripping blade 5 is brought, during a rotation of the roller 1, into contact with the flat bearing surface arranged opposite, alternately, so as to alternately pinch a pile and release it.
- the central shaft 12 has a substantially cylindrical shape of revolution about the longitudinal axis X-X.
- the central shaft 12 has a central part having an outer diameter less than a diameter of the cylinder defining the inner surface of the cage 10, so that the central part of the central shaft 12 can be inserted into the cage 10.
- the central part of the central shaft 12 can be inserted into the cage 10.
- central shaft 12 can be made of metal, for example aluminum, by a machining technique in particular, or Zamak, by an injection technique in particular.
- the cam 15 is carried by the central shaft 12, this cam 15 comprising at least one groove (14,14 ', 14 ") allowing guidance of the pulling clamp 29.
- the central part of the central shaft 12 comprises the cylindrical cam 15 having on its periphery a plurality of mutually parallel grooves, typically three grooves (14,14 ', 14 ").
- the profile of a groove of the cam 15 determines the amplitude and the direction of the longitudinal translational movement of the stripper 29 when it is rotated around the longitudinal axis of the central shaft 12.
- the plurality of parallel grooves advantageously makes it possible to modify the amplitude of the movement of the tear-off clamp 29.
- the tear-off clamps 29 can be offset with respect to one another.
- the cam is formed in one piece where the groove typically has a continuous profile with a closed contour comprising sloping areas, in order to guide the lug 16 so as to close the clamp. grubbing 29.
- the cam 15 comprises a movable cam portion 35 having a plurality of grooves (19, 19 ', 19 ") and mounted on the central shaft 12 so as to be able to slide along the longitudinal axis XX under the pressure of a return spring 36, oriented parallel to the longitudinal axis, in the direction of closing of the tear-off clamp 29.
- the return spring 36 forms a means of compensating for manufacturing, assembly or wear clearances and thus guarantees permanent contact of the stripping blade 5 with the bearing surface.
- the force for closing the pulling clamp 29 by the return spring 36 is determined so as to ensure optimum clamping making it possible to grip a hair well, without however cutting it during pulling.
- a clamping force of the tear-off gripper 29 is thus constant over time and well controlled, without any adjustments being necessary during assembly or during use.
- Each groove (19, 19 ', 19 ") of the movable cam 35 is located in the extension of a corresponding groove (14,14', 14") of the fixed cam 15, so as to form a continuous contour of the groove on the periphery of the central shaft 12, which contour is traversed by the lug 16 when it is driven in rotation around the longitudinal axis XX.
- Each groove (19, 19 ', 19 ") comprises a cranked zone with a fairly strong inclination, corresponding in use to an approach of the stripping blade 5 on the corresponding bearing surface, and making it possible to obtain a rapid closure of the plunger. the pulling pliers 29 to properly grip a hair to be depilated.
- the movable cam 35 is preferably made of a plastic material having a low coefficient of friction, for example a thermoplastic material based on polyoxymethylene (POM), in particular by an injection technique.
- a plastic material having a low coefficient of friction for example a thermoplastic material based on polyoxymethylene (POM), in particular by an injection technique.
- POM polyoxymethylene
- the central shaft 12 also has ends 11, having a smaller diameter than the central part, and configured to form rotational bearings for the pinion 30 and respectively the toothed wheel 33.
- the ends 11 are mounted fixed relative to the housing. of the epilator, or preferably in the side flanges (47,48), themselves being fixed relative to the housing of the epilator.
- the rectangular face 25 on the side 20 corresponding to the tear-off row 2 is covered by a bar 17 disposed at the periphery of the roller 1. The same is true for the other tear-off rows uniformly distributed. on the circumference of the roller 1.
- the bar 17 comprises a substantially rectangular base 38 of dimensions close to the rectangular face 25.
- the ends of the rectangular base 38 have, on an internal face, protuberances forming two lower edges 42 curved inwards, configured to be fixed on the edges 22 of the partitions 21 of the rectangular face 25.
- the bar 17 also comprises a substantially rectangular central through-hole 18 extending radially in the direction transverse to the longitudinal axis XX, so that the tear-off blade 5 passes through the through-hole 18.
- the through-hole 18 thus forms a tear-off window extending radially towards the outside of the rotary roller 1 and along the circumference of the rotary roller 1.
- the through orifice 18 is bordered by a support element 7 comprising a flat face bordering the orifice passing through 18 and forming the bearing surface of the stripping blade 5 during its reciprocating translational movement in the longitudinal direction.
- the support element 7 is made in one piece with the bar 17 by a technique of injecting a plastic material, for example ABS.
- the support element 7 has a thickness calculated to withstand without deforming in contact with the stripping blade 5.
- the support element 7 typically has a thickness greater than 1 mm, so as to have sufficient rigidity to not to deform when a force of about 3N is applied to it by the stripping blade 5.
- the support element 7 has a radial thickness, that is to say a height of the protuberance that it forms relative to the outer surface of the bar 17, greater than 1 mm.
- the radial thickness is around 1.38mm.
- the support element 7 must have a radial thickness sufficient to allow contact and correct pinching of a hair, so as to tear it without breaking it.
- the through-orifice 18 is bordered by, in addition, an element 8 opposite to the support element 7, arranged so that the opposite element 8 and the support element 7 extend radially. relative to the bar 17 on either side of the through orifice 18.
- the support element 7 and the opposite element 8 have surfaces which are substantially planar and parallel to each other.
- the figure 1 illustrates an assembled view of the roller 1 on which two consecutive bars (17,17 ') each having a through hole (18,18') are identified.
- the orifices (18,18 ') of two adjacent bars (17,17'), that is to say arranged successively along the circumference of the roller 1, are offset longitudinally and have an overlap delimiting a circumferential epilation zone.
- the term “circumferential zone” will be understood to mean a zone extending along a certain width in the longitudinal direction along the circumference of the roll.
- longitudinal offset will be understood to mean that the circumferential zone delimited by the through orifice 18 of a first bar 17 is not identical to the circumferential zone delimited by the through orifice 18 'of a second bar 17' adjacent to it. the first bar, but that the two circumferential zones have a common zone corresponding to the overlap.
- width will be understood to mean a distance between two elements, measured in the longitudinal direction, typically orthogonal to a flat surface of a support element.
- An opening width of a bar 17 is defined as the width between the support element 7 and the element 8 opposite the support element.
- the opening width corresponds to a longitudinal distance between a flat face facing the through orifice 18 of the element 8 opposite the support element and a flat face facing the through orifice 18 of the support element 7.
- the width opening is less than 3 mm, preferably less than 2.5 mm. Typically, the opening width is approximately equal to 2.1 mm.
- a functional opening width is also defined, corresponding to the opening width, from which a thickness of the stripping blade is subtracted.
- the functional opening width is less than 2 mm.
- the stripping blade may for example have a thickness of 0.3 mm.
- the bearing elements (7,7 ') of two adjacent bars (17,17') are longitudinally on the same side of the corresponding through holes (18,18 ').
- the pulling pliers (29,29 ') of two adjacent bars (17,17') move in the same direction along the longitudinal axis XX when they are translated to pinch a pile against the bearing surface.
- the direction of pinching according to this first embodiment is shown in figure 8A by arrow F1.
- This first embodiment allows a simplified assembly of the epilation head.
- the overlap width (Lc1) is defined in this embodiment as the shortest distance between a support element 7 'of a bar 17' and an element 8 opposed to a support element 7 of an adjacent bar 17.
- the overlap width (Lc1) is defined as the distance measured orthogonally between the two internal surfaces of the elements 7 'and 8, facing each other and substantially plane and parallel to each other.
- the shorter distance also corresponds to the shorter of the two longitudinal distances that can be defined between a support element (7.7 ') of a first bar (17.17') and an opposite element (8 ', 8) to a support element (7', 7) of a second adjacent bar (17 ', 17).
- the active zone width (La1) is the longitudinal distance between the two other elements of the two adjacent bars (17,17 '), that is to say the distance between the support element 7 of the first strip 17 and the element 8 'opposite to the support element 7' of the second adjacent bar 17 '.
- the overlap width (Lc1) is therefore measured between the support element 7 'and the opposite element 8, and the width of the active zone (La1) is measured between the support element 7 and the element opposite 8 '.
- the bearing elements (7,7 ') of two adjacent bars (17,17') are longitudinally on opposite sides of the corresponding through holes.
- the pulling pliers (29,29 ') of two adjacent bars (17,17') move in opposite directions along the longitudinal axis XX when they translate to pinch a pile against the corresponding bearing surface.
- the two pinching directions according to this second embodiment are shown on figure 8B by the arrows F2a and F2b.
- This second embodiment makes it possible to define a line for pinching the hairs that is narrower than in the previous first embodiment, and consequently to allow more precise hair removal. This pinching line corresponds to the circumferential epilation zone.
- An overlap width (Lc2) is defined between the support elements (7,7 ') of two adjacent bars (17,17').
- the overlap width (Lc2) is defined as the distance measured orthogonally between the two internal surfaces of the elements (7,7 '), facing each other and substantially plane and parallel to each other.
- the width of the active zone (La2) is the longitudinal distance between the two other elements of the two adjacent bars (17,17 '), that is to say between the two opposite elements (8,8') of the two bars (17.17 ') adjacent.
- a ratio between the overlap width and the opening width is less than 0.5, typically the ratio is about 0.35.
- the overlap width is for example less than 1 mm, preferably less than 0.8 mm, typically equal to 0.725 mm.
- the active zone has a width typically less than 4 mm.
- it can be an area to be waxed on the face, for example the edge of the lips or the gap between the eyebrows.
- the elements 7 and 8 of the through orifice 18 are symmetrically arranged on either side of the through orifice 18, and have an internal face facing the through orifice 18 which is substantially planar, and a corrugated external face.
- the opposite element 8 can also be produced in the same part as the bar 17 by injection of plastic material.
- the rotary roller 1 is assembled by inserting the central shaft 12 inside the cage 10.
- the central shaft 12 is a sub-assembly which has been previously produced by mounting the movable cam 35 and the return spring 36, inserted in the movable cam 35, and of which a first end bears on an internal wall of a cylindrical housing inside the movable cam 35, a second end, opposite the first end, bearing against a lateral internal surface of the central shaft 12.
- the pulling clamp 29 comprising the movable blade 5 is then introduced into the housing of the cage 10, by exerting a slight pressure, in order to cause the pulling clamp 29 to pass below the edges 22, so that the lug 16 passes through the opening 24 to fit into a groove (14,14 ', 14 ") of the cam 15 and / or a groove (19,19', 19") of the movable cam 35.
- the openings 24 of two consecutive rectangular faces 25 are offset axially on the circumference of the cage 10, which allows rapid orientation for mounting the movable blades offset axially on the circumference of the rotating roller 1.
- we just insert the bars by force on the periphery of the cage we just insert the bars by force on the periphery of the cage, the lower edges 42 of a bar 17 coming to be fixed on the edges 22 of the partitions 21 of the rectangular face 25 of the cage 10.

Description
The present invention relates to the field of epilating devices or epilators and more particularly epilating heads for faces and sensitive areas, mounted on an epilator.
An electric epilator generally comprises tweezers arranged on a rotating roller, the tweezers being brought mechanically during the rotation of the roller to close and open periodically so as to squeeze the hairs near the skin to pull them out and then evacuate. hairs pulled out.
An object of the invention is to remedy at least in part the aforementioned drawbacks and to provide an epilating head for a hair removal device with pliers of simplified structure which can be assembled in an automated manner, and allowing localized use on all areas to be waxed, even the most difficult to access or the smallest.
- a central shaft carried by a longitudinal axis and comprising at least one cam having at least one groove,
- a substantially cylindrical cage of revolution around the longitudinal axis, intended to be driven in rotation around the longitudinal axis by the electric motor,
- a plurality of stripping rows arranged at the periphery of the cage, each stripping row comprising a single stripping clamp movably mounted on the cage and guided by the at least one groove of the cam, each stripping clamp comprising a single pulling blade,
- a plurality of longitudinal bars arranged respectively facing the plurality of tear-off rows radially outwards, each longitudinal bar comprising a through orifice having a bearing element extending radially with respect to said bar, the blade of tearing of the tear-off pliers from the corresponding tear-off row being arranged to pass through said through orifice and to bear on the bearing element so as to alternately pinch bristles on the bearing element and release them during the rotational movement of the cage relative to the central shaft
The fact that each stripping row comprises a single stripping clamp itself having a single stripping blade combined with the fact that the through holes of two adjacent bars are offset longitudinally and have an overlap is particularly advantageous since this makes it possible to providing an epilation head having a narrow epilation circumferential area, thereby enabling the user to achieve precise epilation.
- chaque pince d'arrachage comprend une base sur laquelle la lame d'arrachage est montée, ladite base comprenant un ergot parcourant la rainure de came de l'arbre central, et la pince d'arrachage comprenant en outre une lame de guidage montée sur la base ;
- chaque barrette comprend en outre un orifice borgne destiné à recevoir une extrémité libre de la lame de guidage, de sorte à confiner ladite lame de guidage à l'intérieur de la tête d'épilation ;
- la lame d'arrachage de chaque pince d'arrachage est agencée inclinée en direction de l'élément d'appui de l'orifice traversant de la barrette correspondante ;
- l'élément d'appui s'étend radialement par rapport à la barrette d'une épaisseur supérieure à 1 mm, par exemple de l'ordre de 1.4 mm ;
- l'orifice traversant a en outre un élément opposé à l'élément d'appui, l'élément opposé et ledit élément d'appui s'étendant radialement par rapport à la barrette de part et d'autre de l'orifice traversant, dans laquelle une largeur d'ouverture est définie entre l'élément opposé à l'élément d'appui et ledit élément d'appui, et la largeur d'ouverture étant inférieure à 3 mm, de préférence inférieure à 2.5 mm ;
- each tear-off clamp comprises a base on which the tear-off blade is mounted, said base comprising a lug traversing the cam groove of the central shaft, and the tear-off clamp further comprising a guide blade mounted on the base;
- each bar further comprises a blind orifice intended to receive a free end of the guide blade, so as to confine said guide blade inside the epilation head;
- the tear-off blade of each tear-off pliers is arranged inclined in the direction of the support element of the through orifice of the corresponding bar;
- the support element extends radially relative to the bar with a thickness greater than 1 mm, for example of the order of 1.4 mm;
- the through orifice also has an element opposite to the support element, the opposite element and said support element extending radially with respect to the bar on either side of the through orifice, in wherein an opening width is defined between the element opposite to the support element and said support element, and the opening width being less than 3 mm, preferably less than 2.5 mm;
- a functional opening width is obtained by subtracting from the opening width a thickness of the stripping blade, the functional opening width being less than 2 mm.
According to an exemplary embodiment, the support elements of two adjacent bars are longitudinally on the same side of the corresponding through orifices. An overlap width is defined as the shortest distance in the longitudinal direction between a support element of a bar and an element opposite to a support element of an adjacent bar, and preferably a ratio between the width of overlap and the opening width is less than 0.5, preferably approximately equal to 0.35.
According to another exemplary embodiment, the support elements of two adjacent bars are longitudinally on opposite sides of the corresponding through orifices. An overlap width is defined between the bearing elements of two adjacent bars, and preferably a ratio between the overlap width and the opening width is less than 0.5, preferably approximately equal to 0.35.
The epilation head described above may also have a width of the circumferential epilation zone of between 0.5 mm and 1.5 mm, preferably between 0.7 mm and 1 mm, more preferably of the order of 0.8 mm.
The epilator head may further comprise a support configured to hold the roller and comprising two side flanges, the support being mounted removably with respect to the housing containing the electric motor. Preferably, the lateral flanges have a plunging shape in the direction of the longitudinal axis, partially covering the roller, so as to conform to a zone of skin having bristles.
According to another aspect, there is provided a depilatory device comprising an epilating head as described above, and a housing containing an electric motor, the housing being configured to be held in one hand during use.
Preferably, the housing and the epilator head form a sealed assembly, so that the epilator can be used in a humid environment.

The electric depilatory device generally comprises a hollow housing preferably made of plastic material and so as to be able to be held in one hand and enclosing the electric motor and the gear train. Preferably, the housing is substantially elongated and extends in a direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of the roller.
Preferably, the housing and the epilating head form a sealed assembly, so that the electric epilator can be used in a humid environment, for example in a shower, without presenting any risk to a user of the appliance. .

The lateral flanges (47,48) define in their upper part an epilation window centered with respect to the

In general, the term “outward” will be understood to mean an orientation towards the outside of the cylinder, as opposed to “inward”, denoting an orientation towards the central longitudinal axis X-X of the cylinder. The
Thus, the
The
The profile of a groove of the

Each groove (19, 19 ', 19 ") of the
The
The
In the proposed epilation head, the

The
Preferably, the
In one embodiment, the through-

The term “width” will be understood to mean a distance between two elements, measured in the longitudinal direction, typically orthogonal to a flat surface of a support element.
Typiquement, la largeur d'ouverture est environ égale à 2.1 mm.An opening width of a
A functional opening width is also defined, corresponding to the opening width, from which a thickness of the stripping blade is subtracted. Preferably, the functional opening width is less than 2 mm. It should be noted that the stripping blade may for example have a thickness of 0.3 mm.

The overlap width (Lc1) is defined in this embodiment as the shortest distance between a support element 7 'of a bar 17' and an

It will be noted that whatever the embodiment in operation, the definitions of widths given previously in the first and the second embodiment correspond to identical distances, therefore Lc1 = Lc2 and La1 = La2.
De préférence, un ratio entre la largeur de chevauchement et la largeur d'ouverture est inférieur à 0.5, typiquement, le ratio vaut environ 0.35.Preferably, a ratio between the overlap width and the opening width is less than 0.5, typically the ratio is about 0.35.

La zone active a une largeur typiquement inférieure à 4 mm.The active zone has a width typically less than 4 mm.
